Using the map Tap the Maps icon in the applications menu. Drag the map with your finger to move the map around. To zoom in or out: 1. Tap the plus or minus signs on the lower right corner, or 2. Double tap a location on the map to zoom in on the location, and tap once to zoom out, or 3. Touch an area with two fingers at once and spread them apart to zoom in, and pinch them together to zoom out. Important: Not all zoom levels are available for all locations.
Select SAVE and type in a name for your Fooz avatar. The next screen will ask you for the email address, password, and required user information. The email and password you enter will be used to sign into your urFooz account. Managing your avatar Now that you have created your Fooz avatar, go to Fooz World and personalize your Fooz card, or your portable profile. Select Profile/Apps to fill in your profile and other information such as bookmarks of your social network profiles and favorite websites.
Browsing albums Once Spinlets is opened, you will see a display of featured albums. Browse this display by sliding your finger horizontally (left or right), and select an album by tapping it. Browsing genres To browse the Gallery by genre, tap the Genres button on the bottom left corner of the screen. You will see a new screen with a list of different genres. Tap on the genre you wish to view.
Exploring Spinlets widgets When you select an album, you will see a Spinlet. To play the featured song, select the red Play button. To play selected songs, select the Music tab and choose which songs you would like to play. To view artist photos, select the Photos tab. To visit the artist's social networks and websites, select the icons located along the bottom of the screen. Sharing your Spinlets You can share your favorite Spinlets in two ways.
Chapter 8: Using the Camera Your smartphone features an 8-megapixel digital camera mounted on the rear, with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera function. This section will take you through all the steps in taking photos and videos with your smartphone. To activate the camera, long press the camera button or open the Applications menu and tap Camera.

Camcorder settings menu Tap to activate the camcorder. Tap to mute, and tap again to unmute. To adjust the settings, tap Menu. The menu options are: Icon Description Set the video quality. Turn the flash on or off, auto, and anti red eye. * Only for the rear camcorder. Set the white balance — Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Fluorescent, Incandescent. Set anti-banding. Set video format. Geotagging Geotagging allows you to store the location where a photo was taken right in the photo itself. For geotag to display, pictures must be taken with Store Location activated in the camera settings. To view the geotag, open the picture in the Gallery. Press the Menu button and tap More, then tap Show on map.
Chapter 9: Advanced Settings Acer Settings Acer Settings is a convenient all-in-one place for you to adjust commonly-used settings on your phone. Open the Applications menu and tap Acer Settings. From this screen you can turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on or off or adjust their settings by tapping . You can also set your Phone network settings, Tethering & portable hotspot, set the Ringtone, screen Brightness or Screen Timeout.
Activating or deactivating connections Open the Applications menu and tap Settings > Wireless & networks to manage your connection settings. Each connection will have a green check when turned on. Item Description Airplane mode Disable all wireless connections so you can safely use this device onboard an aircraft. Wi-Fi Turn the Wi-Fi function on or off. Wi-Fi settings Set up and manage your wireless access points. Bluetooth Turn the Bluetooth function on or off.
Wi-Fi hotspot You can turn your smartphone into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot to share your mobile Internet connection with up to 8 clients. 1. Tap Settings > Wireless & network > Tethering & portable hotspot > Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings 2. Tap Configure Wi-Fi hotspot. 3. Set the Network SSID and adjust security between Open and WPA2 PSK. Tap Save to finish. Note: When your smartphone is serving as a Wi-Fi hotspot, you can’t use your phone’s applications to access the Internet via its Wi-Fi connection.
Sound You can adjust your phone settings by tapping Settings > Sound. Item Description Silent mode Turn off all sounds except for alarms and media. Vibrate Sets vibration options. Volume Sets volume for Ringtone, Media, Alarm, and Notifications. Phone ringtone Sets your phone’s ringtone. Notification ringtone Sets a ringtone for notifications. Connecting to a PC If you wish to transfer information between the microSD Card in your phone and your computer, you can connect your phone to a PC using the supplied USB cable. Plug the USB sync cable into the micro USB connector on your smartphone. Plug the USB client connector into an available USB port on your computer. Pull down the notification bar, and tap USB Connected. Tap Turn on USB storage. You will now be able to see the microSD Card in your phone as a drive in your computer’s file explorer.
FM radio The FM radio allows you to listen to your favorite stations while on the move. Headphones must be inserted to the 3.5 mm jack as it functions as an antenna. You can access the radio by tapping Radio from the Applications menu. Tap the power button on the upper right corner to turn the radio off. Multimedia playback Your smartphone comes supplied with a variety of programs that you can use to enjoy multimedia content.
Open the applications menu and tap clear.fi. Acer clear.fi will automatically detect devices that are connected to a wireless network and display them at the bottom of the screen, with your smartphone as the default device on the leftmost corner. Tap any of the connected devices and then tap Photo, Video, or Music to browse media files on that device. Drag the bar on the left side for more viewing options. clear.fi photos Tap the photo album to view photo thumbnails.
clear.fi music Tap a folder to list audio files. Tap and hold a folder or audio file to view the control panel. You can listen to and save any audio file found on any of the connected devices. Tap and hold an audio thumbnail, then tap and hold any of the connected device shown with an arrow. Select Play or Save. To send audio files as an email attachment using Google or RoadSync Mail, or to paired devices using Bluetooth, tap and hold a photo thumbnail, then tap Share.
Setting alarms There are two predefined alarms on your phone by default. Tap Alarm clock in the Applications menu, and tap the alarm icon to edit alarm settings. Restoring to factory settings You may perform a clean boot to restore your smartphone to the factory settings. Note: Before performing a reset, ensure that your smartphone is not locked. Press any key or tap the screen to see if the phone responds. Warning! You should only perform a clean boot when all other options have failed to restore your smartphone to an operational state. Warning! This will erase all your personal information, any contacts stored on your phone and any programs you installed.
Chapter 10: Accessories and Tips This chapter shows you how to use accessories with your smartphone, as well as provide useful tips for when you are using your smartphone. Using the headset Your smartphone comes packaged with a headset with built-in microphone for handsfree use when making calls. To use the headset, plug it into the 3.5 mm headphone jack at the side of the phone. When the headset is plugged in, all audio is routed to the headset, and the speakers are turned off.
