48 - Advanced settings
Display
To adjust your phone’s display settings, in the Apps list tap Settings >
Display.
You can also adjust the screen brightness, turn casting or screen
rotation on or off from Quick Settings.
Security
To adjust your phone’s security settings, in the Apps list tap Settings
> Security.
You can adjust the screen lock (Swipe, Pattern, PIN, or Password),
and set Lock screen options, set up Smart Lock (keep your phone
unlocked when it is near you or your home), SIM card lock, and
installation options.
Fingerprint settings
Tap Settings > Security > Fingerprint to scan or delete fingerprints
and learn about using the fingerprint scanner to authorise purchases
or control app access.
Setting the date and time
To set the date and time, open Settings > Date & time.
If you travel frequently or live in an area that uses daylight saving
time, tap Automatic date & time and Automatic time zone to turn
them both on. This will enable your phone to set the date and time
based on information it receives from the network.
Setting alarms
There are two predefined alarms on your phone by default. Open
Clock from the Apps list, and then tap to view the alarms. Tap and
hold an alarm to change its settings. You may:
• Turn the alarm on or off.
• Set the alarm time.
• Set which days to repeat the alarm.
• Set a ringtone.
