For metal mounting surfaces use rubbing alcohol (A) to wipe clean. 1 2 Remove the backing from the RibbonLyte (D) that you are going to be mounting. (A) (D) 3 Apply the RibbonLyte (D) by placing one end of the strip at the end of run, then slide your finger along the RibbonLyte (D) to make sure there is firm contact and that the tape adheres well.
I N S TA L L A - - S T E P S 5 - 6 5 Drill pilot holes at the center of each mark you made. 6 Tighten the screws (C) through the silicone pads (B) until all of the pads are secure and the RibbonLyte (D) is held tightly in place. For metal mounting surfaces use rubbing alcohol (A) to wipe clean. 1 2 Take the backing off the zip tie pads (B). (B) (A) 4 3 Drill a pilot hole through the center of each zip tie pad (B) into the mounting surface where they are positioned. Apply the zip tie pads (B) directly along the mounting surface, approximately every 12 inches.
I N S TA L L B - - S T E P S 5 - 8 Screw the zip tie pad (B) into place with a size 8 counter sunk flat head screw. 5 6 Slide zip ties (C) through the openings in each of the zip tie pads (B) but do not connect the ends of the zip ties. Size 8 7 Remove the backing from the RibbonLyte (D) that you are going to be applying.
I N S TA L L B - - S T E P S 9 - 1 0 9 Wrap the zip tie (C) around the RibbonLyte (D) and slide the tail of the tie through the other end until it holds its position and has a snug fit. 10 Snip the tail off the zip tie (C) with scissors or wire snips.
