Troubleshooting Procedures (Electronic Dial Models)
When you get a complaint from customers, evaluate the complaint carefully. If the following symptoms apply, instruct
the customer in the proper use of the microwave oven. This can eliminate an unnecessary service call.
• Verifypropergroudingbeforecheckingfortrouble.
• Becarefulofthehighvoltagecircuit.
• Dischargethehighvoltagecapacitor.
• Whencheckingthecontinuityoftheswitchesorofthehighvoltagetransformer,disconnectoneleadwirefrom
thesepartsandthencheckcontinuitywiththeACplugremoved.Todootherwisemayresultinafalsereadingor
damagetoyourmeter.
• Donottouchanypartofthecircuitonthecontroller,sincestaticelectricdischargemaydamagethecontrol
panel.Alwaystouchyourselftoearthwhileworkingonthispaneltodischargeanystaticchargebuiltupinyour
body.
Trouble 1: Oven does not operate at all, no inputs can be accepted.
