Beacon (406 MHz) Registration
This radio device is designed to only provide an effective alerting and locating capability in close
proximity to a vessel. This radio beacon is NOT an EPIRB (Cette radiobalise est conçue
uniquement dans le but de fournir une fonction d'alerte et de localisation efficace à proximité
immédiate d'un navire. Cette radiobalise n’est PAS une RLS).
This device contains licence-exempt transmitter(s)/receiver(s) that comply with Innovation,
Science and Economic Development Canada’s licence-exempt RSS(s). Operation is subject to
the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause interference.
(2) This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause
undesired operation of the device.
Registration in Other Countries
In countries other than the United States and Canada, 406 MHz beacons are registered with
that country’s national authority at the time of purchase. The sales agent may have assisted
you in filling out the forms and sending them to the country’s national authority.
To verify that the unit is properly programmed for your country, view the UIN label on the back
of the unit. In the event that the beacon is not programmed for your country, the sales agent
(if properly equipped) can reprogram the unit for the correct country.
