11710 Ladder Stand-Off Instructions:
General: 1) Always follow ladder regulations and use fall protection in
accordance with local, state and federal OSHA regulations.
Mounting the 11710: 1) Hook ladder stand-off over ladder rung at a
maximum height of 3 rungs from the top of ladder. 2) Loop safety
chain around second rung above ladder stand-off. 3) Tighten securely
and clip in place. 4) Adjust spacing away from surface with 2 thumb
screws (adjusts from 22” to 29”).
Instructions for Use of 11710: 1) Raise ladder and position stand off
on solid surface or so that it sits centered on a corner. 2) Weight of
person on ladder will cause stand-off to lock on rung and gunnels. 3)
Do not stand above ladder stand-off because possible ladder kick-out
may occur!
Care and Maintenance of 11710: 1) Inspect all equipment before and
after each use to be sure that there is no damage or deformation to any
of the equipment. 2) Inspect to be sure there is no deterioration as a
result of rusting. Discard if necessary. 3) Always handle the equipment
with care to ensure safe and lasting use. 4) Do not throw or drop any
equipment from height. 5) Do not use if exposed to extreme heat or
cold. Discard at once. 6) Do not use if wet or frozen.
