5 Handset Configuration
5.14 In the Show missed calls popup drop-down list, select "No" to hide the Missed call
window.
Configure Handset Restrictions
5.14.1 Enable or Disable Mute Function
The user can be prevented from muting a ha
ndset in the following way:
1 Select Customization > Phone restrictions
2In the Turn off so
und drop-down list, select one of the following:
Yes - The mute restriction is disabled.
No - The user is not able to mute the handset or set the ring volume
to silent.
5.14.2 Enable or Disable Switch Off Function
The user can be prevented from swi
tching off the handset in the following way:
1 Select Customization > Phone restrictions
2In the Swi
tch off handset drop-down list, select one of the following:
Yes - The user is not able to switch off the hand
set by pressing the On-hook key.
No - The switch off restriction is disabled.
5.14.3 Enable or Disable Call List
The handset can be prevented from storing outgoing and incomi
ng calls in the call list. This
can be useful to prevent an unauthorized person from viewing the call list.
1 Select Customization > Phone restrictions
2In the Enable call list drop-down list, select one of the following:
Yes - The handset stores the calls in the call list
No - The handset does not store calls in the call list
NOTE: Old incoming and outgoing calls are not delet
ed from t
he call list when setting the
parameter to No. It is recommended to clear all call lists to ensure
that no old calls are
stored.
5.14.4 Enabling or Disabling Handset Keys
The handset keys 0-9, * and # are enabled by default so that users can press keys to dial
num
bers, create m
essages, access soft keys and perform other supported system and
handset functions. However, certain application areas may require that users are prevented
from accessing all or some of the functions, so that when a user presses the key, nothing
happens. To access the parameters associated with the keys, perform the following steps:
1 Select Customization > Phone Restrictions
2 Select the required parameter:
Enable keys 0-9: Enable or disabl
e nu
meric keys 0 through 9
Enable key star (*): Enable or disable the * key
Enable key hash (#): Enable or disable the # key
