5 Handset Configuration
• Alarm type for multiple press

If enabled, the indication of an alarm has been sent and received is disabled.
• Automatic call after alarm mode
The call can be established in the following mo
des;
- Normal: the call is established as an o
rdinary call.
- Loudspeaking: the loudspeaker on the backside of the handse
t is turned on.
- Monitoring: a one-way speech channel is established, that is, the called part can only
listen to
an conversation.

5.27.1 Call Predefined Number Without Sending Alarm
The push-button can be configured to dial the automatic ca
ll after alarm number without
sending an alarm. The following example describes how to configure the push-button
(alarm on long press). The corresponding settings can also be configured for the push-
button when it is pressed twice or more (alarm on multiple press).
Example of configuration:

This configuration lets the user long press the push-button to dial
the number without
sending an alarm. However, the push-button can be configured to send an alarm by pressing
it twice (see Alarm type for multiple press in chapter 5.27 Push Button Alarm on page 37).
5.28 Pull-Cord Alarm
Note: Pull-cord alarm is not available when upgrading the product license from d81
Messenger to d81 Protector. That is, only applicable for d81 Protector with the No-

2. The ALS is not activated if an automatic call is established after an alarm has been sent.
