Quick Start Guide 1. Press the POWER ( control. ) button on the front panel or the POWER button on the remote 2. Press the screen release (PUSH) button. The screen will pop open a short distance. Raise the screen up 90 degrees to access the DVD mechanism. 3. Snap a DVD, CD or MP3 disc onto the hub (label facing outward). Spin the disc to ensure that it is properly attached to the hub. 4.
Materials Supplied 1) AVXMTGHR9HD System Monitor with DVD Player (AVXMTGHR9HD) (1 pc) NOTE: The AVXMTGHR9HD monitor has been designed with interchangeable covers. The headrest as supplied is covered with shale colored vinyl. A black or pewter vinyl cover can replace the shale colored vinyl cover.
Headrest Cover Replacement NOTE: If desired, replace the headrest cover before installing the headrest in the vehicle. 1. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two Phillips screws and lift the bottom edge of the monitor upward. Carefully pull the headrest wires up through the tubes so that the monitor can be moved away from the headrest. Phillips Screws 2. Installation - Vehicle Preparation 1. Decide on the system configuration and the options that will be installed. 2. Read the manual and get familiar with the electrical requirements and connections. 3. Decide on the mounting locations and methods of mounting the products that will be connected to the AVXMTGHR9HD system. 4. Prepare the vehicle by removing any interior trim necessary to gain access to the vehicle's wiring as well as all areas where interconnecting wire harnesses will be located.

Remote Control Battery Replacement NOTE: The remote control has a battery installed with a pull tab to prevent battery discharge. Remove the pull tab before attempting to use the remote. Protective Pull Tab Clear Plastic Battery Replacement 1. Depress the tab (1) and slide the battery holder (2) out in the direction of the arrow. 2. Install one CR2025 battery. Make sure that the proper polarity (+ or -) is observed. 3. Slide the battery holder into the remote control until it locks.

Remote Control Operation * Function control is available on the unit and the remote control. 1. POWER Button* Press this button to turn the unit ON and OFF. 2. MENU / PBC Button Press this button to display the DVD disc Root Menu. 3. NUMBER Buttons Allows the user to enter numbers 0 to 9 to 10/0 and 10+ for selection of CD tracks, DVD chapters, and passwords. 4. DISPLAY Button Press to display current disc information while the disc is playing.
Remote Control Operation 11. CONSOLE Button Press this button to access the BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, COLOR, TINT (For NTSC only), IRT, FMM or RESET. Once the desired adjustment bar is displayed, use the cursor buttons ( ) to adjust the setting. The display will automatically turn off after 6 seconds if no adjustments are made. 12. VOLUME UP (+) or DOWN (-)* Press to increase or decrease the volume for the wired headphones.

System Settings and Adjustments The System Menu contains features and options that allow you to customize your system. 1. 2. Press the menu ( ) button on the unit or press the CONSOLE ( CONSOLE )button on the remote control. The menu OSD will appear at the bottom of the display. Pressing continuously will display each individual setting. Use the "+" and "-" buttons on the front panel or the " " or " " buttons on the remote control to change the settings.
DVD Settings and Adjustments The Setup Menu contains features and options that let you customize your DVD player. For example, you can set a language for the on-screen display or set up PARENTAL controls to control DVD playback for children. Using the Setup Menu 1. Press the SETUP button on the remote. The Setup Menu appears on the screen as shown in the figure below. There are 4 icons that will appear individually in the upper left hand corner of the Setup Menu as each option is selected.

DVD Settings and Adjustments LANGUAGE The LANGUAGE setup allows you to select ENGLISH, CHINESE, ITALIAN, SPANISH, FRENCH, GERMAN for the on-screen language display. NTSC-Select this type for NTSC TV PAL-Select this type for PAL TV AUTO-Select this type if the connected screen is a multi-system TV. The video format of the disc (NTSC or PAL) will determine the video signal output.
DVD Settings and Adjustments PASSWORD SETUP The default password is 3308. To change the rating of the DVD player press 3308 to access the RATING setting. NOTE: 3308 must be pressed to set a new password. • Press 3308 • Enter the new 4 digit password • Press SETUP 2 times to exit the setup mode. NOTE: The 3308 password is always accepted in the setup menu even after a new password has been entered.

Playing DVD and Audio Discs Playing DVDs Press the "PUSH" button to release the LCD screen and raise the screen up from the bottom edge. Snap a disc on the hub and close the LCD screen. Press the PLAY button to activate the play mode when a disc is loaded. Press the DISPLAY button on the remote control to display the status banner. The status banner includes the disc title, chapter and elapsed time. Title Selection: Some DVDs contain more than one title (e.g. sitcoms, collections, etc.

DVD Basics To get the optimum use out of the DVD Player, please read the following: DVD Region Code The DVD player is preset to a region code at the factory depending on where the DVD player is sold. HDMI/MHL Devices HDMI (HDMI/MHL) The HDMI/MHL input is located on the front/bottom of the unit behind a flip down cover (see page 10). This input can be used for devices with HDMI or MHL output ports (such as smartphones, tablets and HDMI devices) and may require the purchase of an HDMI cable and HDMI adapter which is available from your device manufacturer. Troubleshooting PROBLEM IR remote inoperative SOLUTION • Verify that the battery in the remote is fresh. • Verify that the remote sensor eye is not obstructed. Disc won't play • Insert a disc with the label side facing the viewer. • Check the type of disc you put into disc tray. This DVD only plays DVD, audio CD and MP3s. • Both the unit and the disc are coded by region. If the regional codes don’t match, the disc can’t be played.
