provide adequate protection.
Do not use this scan tool in environments where

xplosive vapors may collect. These areas include:
- below-ground pits.
- confined areas.
- areas that are less than 18 inches above floor.
Use this Scan Tool in locations with mechanical

entilation providing at least 4 air changes per hour.
Flammable fuel and vapors can ignite.
Do not smoke, strike a match, or cause a spark in

he vicinity of the battery. Battery gases can ignite.
• Avoid making an accidental connection between the
ba
ttery terminals. Do not place uninsulated metal
tools on the battery.
When removing battery cables, remove the ground
c
able first.
