Rosetta AD User’s Guide
The Apogee Rosetta AD – Front &
Power Switch – Press on, press
off. There is no power-on LED as
other indicators will illuminate
when the unit is switched on.
Sample Rate Selector – Each time
you push the button, the system
will switch to the next available
sample rate, as indicated by the
LEDs. 88.2 and 96 only available
on the Rosetta 96 model.
Output Resolution Selector –
Each time you push the button,
the system will switch to the next
available output resolution, as
indicated by the LEDs. The default
word length is 24-bit; 16 and 20
bits use Apogee’s exclusive
UV22HR process to retain maxi-
mum detail at lower word lengths.
XLR Left & Right Analog Inputs –
These accept balanced or unbal-
anced, pro or consumer levels, pin
2 or 3 hot, as determined by DIP
switches 1 and 2.
TDIF Digital Output – For Tascam
and other TDIF-style machines. Be
sure to use a TDIF cable and NOT
a computer serial cable! 44.1/48
kHz only.
AES/EBU Outputs 1 and 2 – Two
identical outputs at 44.1 and 48
kHz sampling. At 88.2 and 96 kHz,
both connectors are used for one
stereo path (“double-wide
mode”)
