To set the Standard Mode HDSL Rate:
1 If the terminal is set to the Extended Mode HDSL Parameters menu, type
then press . Otherwise, skip this step.
2 From the Standard Mode HDSL Parameters menu, type then press
. The HDSL Rate option changes to the next in the list of HDSL
Rates.
3 Repeat the previous step until the HDSL Rate option is set to the desired
setting.
4 Type then press to save the new HDSL Rate to NVRAM and
exit the HDSL Parameters menu.
Selecting an Extended Mode
This section continues from Step 3 on page 5-10 to set an Extended HDSL
mode.
To set an Extended Mode HDSL Rate, you must:
• Set the Extended Mode Loop Configuration to 1 Loop or 2 Loops,
depending on the physical layout of your HDSL network.
• Set the Extended Mode HDSL Rate to one of the options determined by
the Extended Mode Loop Configuration:
– 1 Loop HDSL Rate settings are between 64 kbps and 2.304 Mbps,
in 64 kbps increments
– 2 Loop HDSL Rate settings are between 256 kbps and 4.608 Mbps,
in 128 kbps increments
For the 2 Loop HDSL configuration, specific revisions of
the Fractional Interface Card only support a top rate of
2.304 Mbps configuration. Contact ADC for additional
information regarding the affected part numbers.
