SECTION 12: USER INSTRUCTIONS

Burn Hazard
Allow heater to cool
before service.
Tubing may still be hot
after operation.

Turn off gas supply to

Heater must be
connected to a properly
grounded electrical
source.
The UHA[X][S] Series heaters are fully automatic
and operate from the external controls fitted on site.
The only user control at the heater is the Manual
Reset Limit Switch - See Page 35, Section 12.2.

switch location inside control housing.
12.1 Heater Operation
When the heater has been switched on by the
ther
mostat installed on site, the main burner will
automatically turn on.
The burner control box will control the safe ignition
of the f
lame.
All heaters require a constant gas and electricity
suppl
y which must not be interrupted during the
normal operation of this heater.
12.2 Common User Controls
12.2.1 Manual Reset Limit Switch
WARNING
Explosion Hazard
Do not make more than one attempt to
restart the heater if manual reset limit switch
locks out.
The vent or heat exchanger may be blocked.
The fault must be traced and repaired.
Failure to follow these instructions can
result in death, injury or property damage.
On residentially approved models, the limit
thermostat is located inside the hinged access door
of the heater. See Page 47, Section 1
5.3. This
control protects against excessive heat build-up
inside the b
urner compartment.
