You have chosen a highly modern and reli-
able transmitter for the wireless » sign
•
lux «
home signalling system.
Please read this manual thoroughly to be
able to set up the unit correctly and to fa-
miliarise yourself with all of the features the
system offers.

Should any parts be missing, please imme-
diately contact your dealer or the manufac-
turer directly.
Function
»alarmo« has been conceived to enable
the easy incorporation of already existing
smoke detectors into the » sign
•
lux «-
signalling system, without need for modifi-
cation or wiring.
»alarmo« scans environmental noises
in proximity for sound patterns typical of
smoke detectors and fire alarm systems of
any type.
False alarms, possibly caused by alarm
sounds not actually within in the room (e. g.
passing emergency vehicles, TV and movie
sound effects) are prevented by means of
intelligent analysis and filtering of the regis-
tered sound.
If an alarm sound is identified as such,
»alarmo« transmits a radio signal to all
accordingly registered »

lux « recei-
vers within range, which will indicate the
incident with light, vibration or sound - de-
pending on the type of receiver.
Signals and controls
Battery status indicator
A red illuminated battery status indicator
means that the inserted rechargeable bat-
tery is almost depleted. The battery needs
to be recharged.
A permanent green light indicates a char-
ged battery and an operational »alarmo«.
Transmission status / momentary indi-
cator
The transmission status indicator lights
up when a radio signal is sent to the
»
sign
•
lux «-receivers.
Function key
The operational state of »alarmo« can be
tested by pressing the function key.
After registering »alarmo« with at least one
» sign
•
lux «-receiver (see page 10), the
function can be tested by pressing this key
and checking the alert given by the recei-
vers.
Note (special accessories)
»alarmo« is able to trigger various indicator
modules, e. g. you can have a light flash di-
rectly released by the »alarmo«.
The following modules (not included) can
be plugged into to the AUX output connec-
tors:
- Vibrating pillow (A-3303-0)
- Flash module MF-1 (A-3320-0)
- Switch module MS-1* (A-3330-0)
- Acustic module MA-1 (A-3340-0)
