ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Adjustable Gate Frame System for Vinyl Fencing

Ranch Rail or Privacy Fence

Thank you for your purchase of our all steel frame Adjust-A-Gate (AGII) Vinyl Gate Kit.

This kit comes complete with all components necessary to install a single gate up to a 72” opening

(between latch and hinge post). If wider gate openings are required, please contact your supplier or call

You will ﬁ nd throughout these assembly instructions “Helpful Hints” to assist with the installation of your gate

frame. Please read all instructions completely prior to beginning the installation.

STEP 1:

Separate and familiarize yourself with all parts included in your AGII gate kit.

1- Vertical Hinge Gate Frame with U Channel Receivers

2- (3 or 4 with rail gates) 6’ Long Spreader Bars

2- Plastic Square Post Caps

2- 180 degree Hanger Bolt Post Hinges

2- 180 degree Offset Gate Frame Hinges w/ Carriage Bolts

2- Post Stabilizer Hinge Brackets

1- Latch Catch

1- Latch Striker Rod

1- Diagonal Adjustable Truss Cable

1- Truss Cable S Hook and cable clamp

4- (6 or 8 with rail gates) 1.5” Wide Vinyl Lower Rail Stabilizer Bracket

STEP 10:

Installation of post hinge stabilizer brackets: The

stabilizer brackets will be installed on the hinge post side

of the gate opening. Locate convenient position for top

and bottom hinge/stabilizer brackets. Mark center of

stabilizer bracket with a marker. Using a 1-1/2” wood

drill, drill hole in vinyl post for bracket. Holding the

stabilizer bracket ﬁ rmly against the vinyl post, attach with

stainless steel screws and decorative caps.

STEP 11:

Determine the direction the gate will swing and install

the 180 degree post hinge into the top and bottom stabi-

lizer brackets with bottom pin hinge up and top pin hinge

down.

STEP 12:

Install gate frame hinge in proper location to hang gate.

Adjust gate for height by adjusting the lower gate frame

hinge. Once correct slide the upper gate frame hinge into

place and securely tighten all bolts.

STEP 13:

You are now ready to install the latch provided with the

AG2 gate frame.

First install your striker in the pre-drilled holes on the

steel gate frame. Using this as a locater, establish latch

catch on post and install.

A double drive gate system can be installed using

two AG2 Gate

Frame Kits

and an

AG 22000 Drop Rod Kit

. For heavy/wide gate opening,

it is recommended that you use our

Swivel Ground Wheel Kit AG 22001

one under each gate frame.

STEP 2: After securely installing your hinge and latch posts, measure the exact space between posts. “Helpful Hint” Measure the distance between the tops AND bottoms of your posts to insure that the posts are parallel and level. STEP 3: Once the gate opening measurement has been determined, deduct 6.25” from this measurement. This will be the ﬁnal length that the upper and lower spreader bars will be once cut. Example: For a 48” opening, the spreader bar will be cut 41.75”. “Helpful Hint” The 6.
