Measurement Guide

SELECTING THE
CUSTOM FIT
WITHOUT THE
CUSTOM PRICE
RIGHT
MODEL
Adjust-A-Grate window well covers are designed to offer
you a custom fit without the custom price. Each grate
is designed to adjust side to side so that it perfectly
conforms to the contour of your well.
The grate does not adjust front to back, the range given
for the projection out from the house for each model is
simply the acceptable range for that model of grate.
If your measurement is near the lower end of the range you
will have a smaller gap at the back of the grate, against the
house. If your measurement is near the higher end of the
range you will have a larger gap at the back of the grate.
See the full installation video at grate.com/installation
Adjust-A-Grates fit inside the opening of
the window well, therefore only use inside
dimensions when measuring.
Measure the length along the house and the
projection out from the house at the widest
points and then select the correct model for
your size and shape of well.

corners.
STANDARD
USE STANDARD GRATE SIZE CHART, PG 2.
Typically a metal well that tapers as
it comes away from the house with
rounded front corners.
