3. S/W deliverables
3.1. Contents of S/W Package
ADLINK’s aTCA-N700 S/W package, which is to be released after the development is
completed, is composed of the following components.
• aTCA-N700_ sw-package_$(PACKAGE_VERSION).bsp.tgz : LMP-BSP + BCM-
BSP + NP-BSP
• aTCA-N700_ sw-package_$(PACKAGE_VERSION).bin.tgz : LMP-IMAGES +
NP-IMAGES
 $(PACKAGE_VERSION):
$(SDK_VERSION).$(MAJOR_VERSION).$(MINOR_VERSION)
 $(SDK_VERSION): base SDKs (LMP-SDK, BCM-SDK, NP-SDK) version
change enforces increment of the version. (Starts from 1)
 $(MAJOR_VERSION): Increments at a structure change or a feature change.
(Starts from 0)
 $(MINOR_VERSION): Increments at a S/W bug fix. (Starts from 0)
• aTCA-N700_lmp-bsp.$(LMP_BSP_VERSION).diff: Patches for LMP Linux and U-
Boot sources. Included in aTCA-N700_ sw-
package_$(PACKAGE_VERSION).bsp.tgz
• aTCA-N700_lmp-vendor-drop.$(LMP_VD_VERSION).tgz: Collection of rootfs
files to create the image. Included in aTCA-N700_ sw-
package_$(PACKAGE_VERSION).bsp.tgz
 $(LMP_BSP_VERSION): v.$(LMP_BSP_REVISION_NUMBER)
 $(LMP_VD_VERSION): v.$(LMP_APP_REVISION_NUMBER)
 $(LMP_BSP_REVISION_NUMBER): Increments at a U-Boot or Linux kernel
source change. (Starts from 1)
 $(LMP_APP_REVISION_NUMBER): Increments at an LMP application change.
(Starts from 1)
• aTCA-N700_ bcm-bsp_$(BCM_BSP_VERSION).diff: Broadcom S/W source
patches and configurations. Included in aTCA-N700_ sw-
package_$(PACKAGE_VERSION).bsp.tgz
 $(BCM_BSP_VERSION): v.$(BCM_BSP_REVISION_NUMBER)
 $(BCM_BSP_REVISION_NUMBER): Increments at a SBCM S/W change.

• aTCA-N700_ np-bsp_$(NP_BSP_VERSION).rpm: Patches to the NP Linux and
the U-Boot sources. Included in aTCA-N700_ sw-
package_$(PACKAGE_VERSION).bsp.tgz
 $(NP_BSP_VERSION): v.$(NP_BSP_REVISION_NUMBER)
 $(NP_BSP_REVISION_NUMBER): Increments at an NP (Octeon) S/W change.
