A.3 Mounting Procedures
There are several standard ways to mount an ETX board with heatspreader on a carrier board.
ETX boards may be mounted with 9.5 mm ETX connectors on the carrier board or standard 3
mm connectors. There are also two different types of heatspreaders to choose from:
heatspreaders with threaded standoffs which require inserting screws from under the carrier, or
top mounting heatspreaders using through-hole heatspreader standoffs and threaded carrier
board standoffs.
