Safety Precautions: Use positive ventilation where necessary. Do not smoke or eat in process areas.
First Aid: Eyes: Irrigate with water to wash out any particles or irritation from vapors when
material is heated.
Inhalation: None expected
Skin: Wash with soap and water to remove particles.
Ingestion: Expected to relatively non-toxic. Notify medical personnel.

Principal Health & Hazards and Symptoms of Exposure
General: Normal handling with general ventilation would not expose operating
personnel to safety and health hazards.
Eye Contact: May cause mechanical irritation
Inhalation: Dust may cause mechanical irritation. If heated, fumes may be unpleasant and
produce nausea and irritation to the upper respiratory tract.
Skin Contact: Not expected to be harmful.
Ingestion: Not expected to be harmful if swallowed.
Systemic and Other Effects: None
Medical Conditions Aggravated: None known
Exposure Limits: None established for polystyrene.
