Configuration and Activation
After installing the ADS
®
TRITON+
™
flow monitor and sensors
and establishing communications, it is necessary to configure and
activate the monitor to begin taking flow measurements and
recording data at the monitor loca tion. This chap te r contains
general instructions on the following activities concerning monitor
configuratio n and activatio n:
 Star ting and c onfiguring Qstart

 Creating and configuri ng a monitor lo c a tion
 Configur ing the monito ring po int installation (pipe) ta ble
(incl uding sett ing Gain)
 Selecting and editing devices (usually attached sensor s)
 Activating the monitor
This chapter also includes the procedures for running diagno stics
and performing confirmati ons on the sensors, co lle c ting data from
the monitor, and upgrading the firmware (embedded software) in
the monitor using the ADS Qstart softwar e. Yo u can also consult
the Qstart online help within the ap plication.
