Note: The Modem Setup device applies only to monitors
equipped with roaming SIM car d s or SIM car d s with
dynamic (non-static) IP addresses for wireless
communication and requires advanced knowledge
involvi ng wireless networks. T herefore, ADS st rongly
recommends contacting ADS customer support for
guidance and assistance before attempting to set up this
device. Failure to properly configure this device can
prohibit communication with the mo nito r .
Edit the Modem Setup device using the follo wing information:
 Host Select the APN corresponding to the SIM card in the
modem. The Username and Password associated with the
selected APN should d isplay in the corresponding fields. If the
APN associated with your carrier’s card is not available on the
list or the username and/or password require modification, click
on the Edit button and complete the Edit Wireless
Parameters dialog in the following way:
 Type Select APN from the d rop-down list. If an existing
APN requires modification, select the appropriate APN
from the Type c olumn in the table of available APNs and
providers.
 Description Enter the proper APN for the carrier or edit
the existing APN as necessary.
 Value 1 Enter or edit the username corresponding to the
APN.
 Value 2 Enter or edit the password corresponding to the
APN.
Click on the Add button to add the APN or modifications to the
table, and then click on the OK button. The new APN should
be available for selection from the Host drop-down list on the
Modem Setup dialog or the modified AP N information should
display in the Username and/or Password fiel ds when the
corresponding host is selected.
