Monitor Installation
After installing the se nsor s and e stablishing communications, install
the ADS
®
TRITON+
™
monitor in the manhol e. The monito r
mounts inside the manhol e by an aluminum mounting br acket
attached to the monitor and b olted to the manhole wa ll or rim or by
a hook connected to the monitor that attaches to a rung. The
following procedures for monitor installation app ly to most sites.
However, b ecause manholes differ in many ways, some sites may
require the installer to implement slight mo difications to the
standard installation technique.
Note: When ordering a monitor, please also indicate the
mounting option to ensure you receive the appro p r iate
installation hardware: wall/rim mount (AD S p/n I4 0-0009)
or rung mount (ADS p/n 8000-0021).
Before installing the monitor at the site, activate the monitor to
verify that the monitor is configured correctly for the applica tion
and that the b attery pack is operating at an adequate voltage. Make
any necessary changes to the configuration before mounti ng t he
unit. Refer to Chapter 10, Maintenance and Troubleshooting, for
information on replacing the battery pack, when necessary.
Note: Manhole and sewer system wor k involves confined
space entry and i s inherently dangerous. Therefore,
installers and technicians must comply with all federal,
state, and municipal regulations concerning confined space
