Provision DS3/DS2 Network
INTRODUCTION
This procedure provides step-by-step instructions to provision the DS3/DS2 Network for the
MX2820 system.
PREREQUISITE PROCEDURES
Obtain all necessary local instructions before provisioning the DS3/DS2 network. The param-
eters need to be set to match the desired application.
DS3/DS2 PROVISIONING DATA
Provisioning data includes the following:
•DS3 framing
• DS3 timing
• DS3 remote loopbacks
•DS3 XCV threshold
• IP Forwarding Protocol
• IP Forwarding MTU
• DS2 mode (1-7)
• DS3 Equipment Identification
NOTE
In the case of 1:1 protection, provisioning the Active M13 MUX
module automatically provisions the Standby M13 MUX module.
