Configuration Flowchart
The following flowchart shows the major steps you might take to configure
your NetBlazer using the Setup Utility.
1.
Fill out any necessary or required worksheets in Appendix B,
“NetBlazer LS Configuration Worksheets.”
2.
Turn on the NetBlazer and log on as
setup
.
3.
Set your NetBlazer’s name and password.
4.
Set up the “port” configurations:
Configure the protocols (IP, IPX, and/or AppleTalk) you want
your Netblazer to use to route information on the LANs attached
to the NetBlazer.
If necessary, change the defaults for your lines. You can change a
line from async to sync, for example.
If your NetBlazer includes ISDN hardware, configure the
NetBlazer to route over ISDN lines.
5.
Configure your NetBlazer to route information using one or more
of the following applications:
Dial-up LAN-to-LAN communications
Dedicated LAN-to-LAN communications
Dial-in remote users
Dial-out modem pooling
6.
Register your NetBlazer with Telebit.
7.
Save your settings and exit the Setup Utility, then back up your
saved configuration.
