We recommend that a service manual pertaining to your vehicle be obtained for specific torque values, wiring diagrams and other related equipment. These manuals

are normally available at automotive dealerships and parts stores.

FORD SMALL BLOCK 302 TO

CHEVY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS

CAUTION: When assembling this

kit and have it completely bolted

together, you must be able to pull

the torque converter assembly

forward towards the engine at

least 1/16" to 1/8". This prevents

any possible damage to the trans-

mission pump. If this cannot be

obtained, please call our techni-

cal department for help. The bolts

in the kits for the torque con-

verter are both metric and stan-

dard, please identify and use the

proper bolts for your torque con-

verter.

Date: 08-08-00 FORD SMALL BLOCK 302 TO CHEVY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS These kits are designed to fit Ford small block 302 to GM automatics ONLY. Please read the following instructions before you begin to assemble. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Remove the stock Ford dowel pins and shorten approximately 1/8".

Date: 11-12-10 FORD SMALL BLOCK 302 TO CHEVY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS 6. "Check fit" the torque converter adapter ring on the GM torque converter for full engagement. The flat surface of the ring must lay flat against the bolt surfaces of the torque converter. Some older torque converters may need to be deburred on the index hub. 7.

Date: 08-08-00 FORD SMALL BLOCK 302 TO CHEVY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS 9. Slide the new torque converter assembly into the transmission, making sure that it is fully engaged with the cogs on the pump. The transmission should now be prepped for final installation. 10. It's now time to install the transmission assembly to the back of the block.
