A pair of needle-nose pliers may be helpful when working with jumpers.
If you have any doubts about the best hardware configuration for your
application, contact your local distributor or sales representative before
you make any changes.
3.3 COM2 RS-232/422/485 Jumper setting (J3/J4/J5)
The COM2 port located on front metal face plate of ARK-3380 unit
which can be configured to operate in RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 mode
by setting up the Jumper Pins of J3/J4/J5 located on internal motherboard
of the ARK-3380 unit. Please also refer to Chapter 6 “Full Disassembly
Procedure” of ARK-3380 Embedded Box Computer”.
(*): means default setting of the jumper/function
The default setting of COM2 is RS-232. The RS-422/485 mode of COM2
can be support by replacing the internal cable and adjusting the jumper
inside of system.
3.4 LCD Power Jumper Setting (J6)
The ARK-3380 series of embedded box computer provide a JP6 jumper
located on internal PCM-9380 or PCM-9386 motherboard for selecting
the LCD signal power of 5V or 3.3V. When you connect your LVDS LCD
Panel display, you need to set up JP6 for your LCD power setting selec-
tion for your LVDS Panel display.
