4.7 Power Management Setup
The Power Management Setup allows you to configure your system to
most effectively to save energy.
4.7.1 ACPI function
The choice: Enabled, Disabled
4.7.2 ACPI Suspend Type
This field is used to select the type of Suspend mode:
“S1 (POS)” : Enables the Power On Suspend function.
“S3 (STR)” : Enables the Suspend to RAM function.
4.7.3 Power Management
This category allows you to select the type (or degree) of power saving
and is directly related to the following modes of:
1. HDD Power Down
2. Suspend Mode
There are four selections for Power Management, three of which have
fixed mode settings:
Former-Sts
When power returns after an AC power failure, the
system will return to the state where you left off
before power failure occurs. If the system’s power
is off when AC power failure occurs, it will remain
off when power returns. If the system’s power is on
when AC power failure occurs, the system will
power on when power returns.
Min. Power
Saving
Minimum power management., Suspend Mod e= 1
hr., and HDD Power Down = 15 min.
Max. Power
Saving
Maximum power management., Suspend Mode = 1
min., and HDD Power Down = 1 min.
User Defined
(Default)
Allows you to set each mode individually. When not
disabled, each of the ranges are from 1 min. to 1 hr.
except for HDD Power Down which ranges from 1
min. to 15 min. and disable.
