Advantech-DLoG
Observe the following instructions when
connecting/removing external devices.
Only use accessories that have been
tested and approved by Advantech-
DLoG for the respective DLT-V4108
DLT-V4108 may not be connected to
power supply if external devices are
being connected/ removed (not
applicable for USB devices). Otherwise
considerable damage could be caused
to both DLT-V4108 and the peripheral
devices
Make sure that peripherals with their
own power supply are either switched
on at the same time as DLT-4108 or
after the start of DLT-V4108.
Otherwise, you must ensure that a
backflow from the external device to
DLT-V4108 system cannot take place.
Only power up DLT-V4108 when all
devices have been connected and
DLT-V4108 has been closed correctly
(remember the cable cover!).
Otherwise, you may damage DLT-
V4108.

Handling / Operation
NOTICE: Physical damage
Improper operation can cause damage and
downtimes to the DLT-V4108 and to the
connected complete system.
Operators of the DLT-V4108 must be
trained in the handling of the device.
Different temperature and air humidity.
If DLT-V4108 is alternately used between very
different temperature and air humidity condition,
condensation may form on or within DLT-
V4108.
To prevent damaging DLT-V4108, you
will need to wait sufficient time for the
moisture to evaporate before using
DLT-V4108.
Cables
Be sure that nothing rests on power
cable and the cable is not located in
where it can be tripped over or stepped
on.
When you disconnect any cable, pull
on its connector or on its strain relief
loop.
Do not pull on the cable itself. As you
pull out the connector, keep it evenly
aligned to avoid bending any connector
pin.
Also, before you connect any cable,
please make sure that both connectors
are correctly oriented and aligned.
Use available strain relief rails.

Maintenance
WARNING
Only the manufacturer and its authorized
service centers may:
Conduct repairs.
Carry out modifications.
Replace modules.
Open the device.
