1.1 Introduction
PCA-6028 is a PICMG 1.0 form-factor single host board which is designed with
Intel® H81 PCH for industrial applications that need high computing power and
strong I/O capability.PCA-6028 supports 22nm manufacturing technology, LGA1150
socket Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 and Pentium® processors that integrate memory and
graphic controllers and support DDR3 1333/1600 MHz SDRAM up to 16 GB. By sup-
porting advanced computing technology, PCA-6028 is suitable for computing power
hungry industrial applications.
PCA-6028 performs excellent graphic processing capability by its processor inte-
grated Intel® HD Graphics core with shared memory around 1 GB when installed
2GB and above system memory. With this feature, PCA-6028 provides strong 2D/3D
graphic processing power without a discrete graphic card to save extra cost, power
consumption and thermal design effort.
PCA-6028 also has rich I/O interfaces, and it can support Advantech PICMG 1.0
compatible backplanes to offer various expansion slots such as PCI and ISA slots.
New SATA Gen3 (600MB/sec) ports meet high data transfer performance applica-
tions, like storage and DVR. Four SATA ports, two USB 3.0 ports reach 5Gbps high
data transfer application, the two on-board RS-232 serial ports are for COM ports
based industrial control applications. With flexible I/O and graphic expansibility, PCA-
6028 can be an excellent, cost effective graphic or I/O oriented workstation class
