TREK-743 User Manual 30
5.1 Introduction
The TREK-743 uses a combination of the AMD Geode™ (LX800 0.9W 500MHz)
CPU and the CS5536AD South Bridge.
The AMD Geode processor has evolved to meet the specific requirements of
extended temperature applications in the telecommunications infrastructure (includ-
ing wired, wireless, and BSC/MSC), single board computing, automotive and trans-
portation systems along with industrial control and monitoring.
The AMD Geode CS5536AD companion device now supports industrial temperature
ranges and is optimized to work with the AMD Geode LX processors to deliver an
integrated solution with a very low power consumption and internal data speeds
exceeding 1 GB/s.
