6.1 Introduction
The TREK-743 motherboard is supplied with an on-board integrated VGA chipset.
WinCE and Win XP Embedded drivers are already installed.
Win XP Pro users can follow the procedures below for driver installation.
1. Place the driver CD into a USB CD-ROM drive.
2. Open control panel - system - hardware and find the Device Manager.
3. Select “Monitors.” To install the driver, choose “install from a list or specific loca-
tion.”
4. Select the path into which the driver will be installed: D:\TREK-743 Driver and
Utilities\GX3 VGA\lx_win.
5. Click “Yes” to continue.
6. Reboot the system to activate the driver.
7. After installing the VGA driver, the color quality of display will be set to 8-bit as
the default due to limitation of driver capacities. It is possible to change the color
quality in the “display properties” setting under the control panel by following
these steps:
– Right click on desktop and choose properties and find the page “setting” of
display properties, and select “Advanced” to continue.

Note! 1. It is important to pay attention to the instructions which appear on
the screen.
2. The CD-ROM drive is designated as “D” throughout this chapter.
