4.5 Jumper Setting on Power-Board
4.5.1 Low battery monitor and shut down (CN2)
The low battery monitor is an optional shut down function designed to
prevent the DC vehicle battery power from running out. When the battery
voltage drops below a certain level (11V for DC12V battery, and 22V for
DC24V battery) the OS will be terminated after 30 seconds and the sys-
tem power will shut down after one minute.
The default setting reserves all pins open to disable the shut down func-
tion. However, DC24V battery protection can be activated by closing
pins 3 - 4, or changed to DC12V battery protection by closing pins 1 - 2.
4.5.2 Power off delay setting connector (CN7)
This connector determines the delay time when the power turns off and
provides two kinds of settings; shut down at 0 seconds, or 30 seconds
after the power turns off. To change the delay time, Advantech accepts
OEM design requests. The standard setting is shown below:
The power off delay function should be available when power support
ignition input control, described as below section.
