4.2 Battery Pack Replacement
With the hot-swappable battery pack design, the FP-Series UPS batteries can be easily
replaced without turning off the UPS or disconnecting the load. The batteries can also be
replaced by shutting down the UPS first. This is done by pressing the ON/OFF button for one
second and letting the UPS switch to Bypass Mode; then turn off the Input Breaker switch
and unplug the UPS.
1. Loosen and remove the screws on the left side of the front panel. Remove the panel
from the unit.
2. Loosen and remove the screws of battery stoppers.
3. Hold the battery pack and pull it out of the front of the unit.
4. Line up and slide in the new replacement battery pack.
5. Gently push the battery pack until a tight connection is made with the unit.
6. Re-install the battery stoppers with the screws.
7. Re-install the panel to the unit with the screws.
Do not disconnect the batteries while the UPS is in battery mode!
