General Features of The Oven Electronic Control The touch controls The Safety Thermostat All the oven functions are controlled by an electronic device. You can select any combination of cooking function, cooking temperature and automatic timing using the touch controls. Make sure you touch just one control at a time. If you press the control for a longer time, the cooking function which follows the desired one will be selected. This oven is provided with a safety thermostat.

When the menu status bar can no longer be seen in the display, the oven begins to heat or the time set begins to count down.

Initial cleaning Clean the oven before using it for the first time. Important: Do not use caustic or abrasive cleaning agents! These can damage the oven surfaces. For the metal surfaces, use commercially available cleaning agents. Remove all packaging, both inside and outside the oven, before using the oven. Remove all oven accessories, and clean them with warm water and a scouring agent. The oven will work only if the time of day has been set.

Switching the Oven On and Off Selecting an oven function 1.
Pre-heating with the RAPID HEAT UP function After an oven function has been selected, with the additional function RAPID HEAT UP the preheating time can be shortened. Pre-heating the empty oven is unnecesssary for most baking and roasting sessions, because the temperature set is generally reached in a short time (see booklet “Tables, Tips and Recipes”). We recommend pre-heating the empty oven using the RAPID HEAT UP function for biscuits that quickly spread into one another, bread rolls and Swiss rolls.
Heat indicator Heating up indicator When the oven function has been switched on the four bars that slowly light up one after the other indicate how far the oven has heated up. RAPID HEAT UP indicator When the RAPID HEAT UP function has been switched on, the bars that flash one after the other indicate that RAPID HEAT UP is operating. Residual heat indicator When the oven has been switched off, the bars that are still lit indicate the remaining residual heat in the oven.
Automatic programmes In addition to the oven functions for individually setting baking and roasting, you have the option of working with various automatic programmes: 1. Meat programmes with weight input (OVEN FUNCTIONS menu) 2. Automatic recipes (Options menu) Meat programmes with weight input The meat programmes offer optimum settings for each type of meat. BAKING RECIPES and ROASTING RECIPES For this function, use the recipes supplied in the booklet “Tables, Tips and Recipes”. This function offers optimum settings for each recipe. MEMORY MENU With this function you can save the optimum settings for your own recipes. The first three “Personal recipes” can be called up again directly in the Oven Functions menu. There are 10 memory positions available for recipes with pre-set cooking times. Saving settings for “Personal Recipes” To save settings for a known recipe 1. Select oven function and temperature. 2.
When you have finished writing the name, press and hold the OK button. SAVED is displayed. Calling up settings for “Personal Recipes” 1. Switch on the appliance with the ON/OFF button. 2. Using the arrow button select saved recipe. You can call up the first three saved “Personal Recipes” directly in the Oven Functions menu. Other “Personal Recipes” can be called up in the MEMORY MENU under the menu option START MEMORY.
Settings Menu Independent of the current use of the oven, you can change various base settings. These remain permanently set, until they are changed again. HEAT+HOLD MENU – HEAT+HOLD ON This function will operate only when the DURATION or END clock functions have been set. At the end of the cooking time, the HEAT+HOLD function can be activated.
RESIDUAL HEAT MENU – RESIDUAL HEAT ON After the appliance is switched off, the residual heat is indicated. – RESIDUAL HEAT OFF After the appliance is switched off, the residual heat is not indicated. DISPLAY MENU – DISPLAY ON After the appliance is switched off, the time is displayed. – DISPLAY OFF After the appliance is switched off, the clock display also goes out. As soon as the appliance is switched on, the display automatically switches itself on. The DISPLAY OFF setting saves energy.
Clock Functions MINUTE MINDER To set a countdown. A signal sounds after the time has elapsed. This function does not affect the functioning of the oven. DURATION To set how long the oven is to be in use. END To set when the oven is to switch off again.. HEAT+HOLD To activate the HEAT+HOLD function, when it has been set "ON" in the "SETTINGS MENU" TIME OF DAY To set, change or check the time (See also section “Before Using for the First Time”).

"HEAT + HOLD" The function Heat+Hold keeps your prepared dish warm for 30 minutes, after the baking or roasting has ended. This is helpful, for example, when your guests are late. Additional functions CHILD LOCK for the oven As soon as the CHILD LOCK is activated, the appliance cannot be operated. Switching on the CHILD LOCK 1. Oven automatic cut-out If not switched off after a certain time, or if the temperature is not modified, the oven switches off automatically. The oven switches itself off when the oven temperature is: 30 - 115°C after 12.5 hours 120 - 195°C after 8.5 hours 200 - 245°C after 5.5 hours 250 - 280°C after 3.0 hours Using the appliance after an automatic cut-out Press any button. The automatic cut-out is cancelled, if the or END clock function DURATION is set.
Inserting the Oven Shelf, the Baking Tray and the Dripping Pan The oven has four shelf levels. The shelf positions are counted from the bottom of the oven as shown in the diagram. Shelf levels 1, 2 and 4 are fitted with telescopic shelf supports to allow en easier operation when inserting or removing the shelves. It is important that these shelves are correctly positioned. Do not place cookware directly on the oven base. 1.
Hints and Tips Always cook with the oven door closed. Stand clear when opening the drop down oven door. Do not allow it to fall open - support the door using the door handle, until it is fully open. The oven is supplied with an exclusive system which produces a natural circulation of air and the constant recycling of steam. This system makes it possible to cook in a steamy environment and keep the dishes soft inside and crusty outside.
Cleaning and Maintenance Before cleaning switch the oven off and let it cool down. The appliance must not be cleaned with a superheated steam cleaner or a steam jet cleaner. Important: Before carrying out any cleaning operation, the appliance must be disconnected from the power supply. To ensure a long life for your appliance, it is necessary to perform the following cleaning operations regularly: - Only perform when the oven has cooled down. - Clean the enamelled parts with soapy water.
Oven Cavity The enamelled base of the oven cavity is best cleaned whilst the oven is still warm. Wipe the oven over with a soft cloth soaked in warm soapy water after each use. From time to time it will be necessary to do a more thorough cleaning, using a proprietary oven cleaner. Clean the appliance after each use. In this way, residue is easier to clean off and does not have the chance to burn on. Residue that is not removed may cause changes to the surface colour when Pyrolytic is used. 1.
Performing cleaning Pyrolytic Warning: The oven gets very hot during this process. Keep small children away. Important: Before carrying out the pyrolytic cleaning process, all removable parts, including the side rails, must be removed from the oven. 1. First remove the worst of the residue manually. 2. Using the OPTION button, change to the Options menu. or 3. Using the arrow buttons select the menu option CLEANING MENU. 4. Confirm using the OK button. 5.

The respective DURATION Pyrolytic cleaning then starts. Do not open the oven door during the heating up time, otherwise the process is cancelled. The oven light does not work. When a pre-set temperature is reached, the door is locked.
• Using PYROLUXE YES you can go to the menu for pyrolytic cleaning. Then proceed as described in the section “Pyrolytic cleaning”. • Using PYROLUXE NO you end the reminder function for this time. The display will continue to be displayed after the end of the next baking/roasting sessions until pyrolytic cleaning has been performed. • Using RESET REMINDER the saved baking roasting processes, whose type, number and duration lead to the triggering of the reminder function, are deleted.
Cleaning The Oven Door The oven door is made up of four glasses. It is possible to remove them for easier cleaning. If the door glass panels become chipped or have deep scratches, the glasses will be weakened and must be replaced to prevent the possibility of the panel shattering. Contact your local Service Force Centre who will be pleased to advise further. Before cleaning the oven door, we recommend you to remove it from the oven. Do not extract all the inner glasses at the same time.
Clean the oven door glass with warm water and a soft cloth only. Never use harsh abrasives as they could damage the special heat-resistant surface of the inner glasses. Once the cleaning is carried out, refit the oven door, following the procedure in reverse. 5 The three glasses in the middle are special glasses that have been treated to resist heat. One is marked with a small dot located on a corner, the other with a black frame and the third one has no marking.
Stainless steel or aluminium appliances 8 We recommend that the oven door is only cleaned using a wet sponge and dried after cleaning with a soft cloth. Never use steel wool, acids or abrasive products as they can damage the oven surface. Clean the oven control panel following the same precautions. DO NOT clean the oven door while the glass panels are warm. If this precaution is not observed the glass panel may shatter.
Replacing The Oven Light Disconnect the appliance If the oven bulb needs replacing, it must comply with the following specifications: - Electric power: 40 W, - Electric rate: 230 V (50 Hz), - Resistant to temperatures of 300°C, - Connection type: E14. These bulbs are available from your local Service Force Centre. To replace the faulty bulb: 1. Ensure the oven is isolated from the electrical supply. 2. Push in and turn the glass cover anticlockwise. 3.
Something not working If the appliance is not working correctly, please carry out the following checks, before contacting your local Electrolux Service Centre. IMPORTANT: If you call out an engineer to a fault listed below, or to repair a fault caused by incorrect use or installation, a charge will be made even if the appliance is under guarantee. Instructions for the Installer The instructions given below are designed specifically for a qualified installer and should aid him or her to perform all installation, adjustment, and maintenance operations with absolute precision and in compliance with all current legislation and regulations. We strongly recommend that all operations for the installation of your cooker be carryed out by Qualified Personnel in accordance with existing rules and regulations.
It is necessary that you install a double pole switch between the oven and the electricity supply (mains), with a minimum gap of 3mm between the switch contacts and of a type suitable for the required load in compliance with the current rules. The switch must not break the yellow and green earth cable at any point. Important After installation and connecting, the cable must be placed so that it cannot at any point reach a temperature of more than 50°C above the ambient temperature.
Building-in To ensure correct operation of the built-in assembly, the kitchen cabinet and the recess for the built-in appliance must have suitable dimensions. When the appliance is fitted-in, there must be no open spaces left and it must be closed on all sides by the kitchen furniture to prevent the possibility of inadvertently touching “live” (current carrying) parts of the oven.
Securing the oven to the cabinet (Fig. 14). - Fit the appliance into the cabinet recess. Open the oven door and secure the oven to the kitchen cabinet by placing the four distance holders (A) in the holes provided in the oven frame and then inserting the four wood screws (B) Fig.
