Safety information 3 Safety information Safety for children and incompetent persons • People (including children) who, because of their physical, sensory or mental capabilities or their inexperience of ignorance are not able to use the appliance safely, should not use this appliance without supervision or instruction by a responsible person. • Switch on the child lock when there are children. The child lock makes sure that children do not accidentally switch on the appliance.
Product description Care and cleaning • Before maintenance, switch off the appliance and make sure that the appliance is cool. • Do not clean the appliance with a steam cleaner or a high-pressure cleaner. • Do not clean the glass oven door with abrasive fluids or metal scrapers, which could cause scratches on the surface.

Daily use Oven function DEFROST BASE HEAT Application To defrost frozen food. To bake cakes with a crispy base, and to preserve food Switching on and off the appliance Use to switch on the appliance. Setting the oven function Use or to set the oven function. The display shows the recommended temperature. If you do not change this temperature in less than approximately 5 seconds, the appliance starts to heat. When the appliance operates at the set temperature, you can hear an acoustic signal.
Daily use Setting a clock function Use again and again, until the necessary clock function flashes (see chapter „Clock functions“). Switching off the oven function Use or again and again, until the display does not show an oven function. Cooling fan When the appliance operates, the cooling fan switches on automatically to keep the surfaces of the appliance cool. If you switch off the appliance, the cooling fan continues to operate until the appliance cools down.
Daily use 9 1. To switch on the function, turn the control knob clockwise as far as possible (pass the highest heat setting). 2. To continue the cooking process, turn the control knob to the necessary heat setting. 3. To complete the cooking process, turn the control knob to the “0” position. Heat- up indicator If you switch on an oven function, the bars on the display come on one by one. The bars show that the oven temperature increases.
3 Daily use Inserting the oven shelf: Insert the oven shelf so that the feet point downwards. Insert the oven shelf on the telescopic runners of the selected oven level. The high rim around the oven shelf is an additional device to prevent cookware from slipping. Inserting the oven shelf and roasting pan together: Lay the oven shelf on the roasting pan.
Daily use 11 5. To remove the synchronised shelf runners, do the above steps in the opposite sequence. Inserting/Removing the Fat Filter Only use the fat filter when roasting to protect the rear heating elements from fat splashes. Inserting the fat filter Hold the fat filter by the tab and insert the two mounts downwards into the opening on the rear wall of the oven (fan opening). Removing the fat filter Hold the fat filter by the tab, unhook it and lift out.
Daily use 1. Switch on the appliance. 2. Put the point of the meat probe into the centre of the meat. 3. Put the meat probe into the socket on the side wall of the oven. 4. Use or in less than 5 seconds to set the core temperature. The display changes to the actual core temperature. 5. Set the oven function and, if necessary, the oven temperature. The appliance calculates the provisional end time for the set core temperature again and again. The display constantly shows the new provisional end time.
Daily use SYMBOL 13 FUNCTION DESCRIPTION Minute Minder To set a countdown (max. 99 minutes). This function has no effect on the operation of the appliance. Duration End Time of day To set how long the appliance has to be in operation. To set the switch-off time for an oven function. You can use Duration and End at the same time, if the appliance is to be switched on and off automatically later. To set, change or control the time of day.

Helpful hints and tips Tips on using the roasting table. • Roast meat and fish that weighs more than 1 kg . • Put some water in the roasting tray to prevent meat juices or fat from burning to the pan. • Turn the meat if it is necessary (after 1/2 - 2/3 of the cooking time). • For better results, baste large pieces of meat and poultry with the cooking juices several times during the cooking time. • Stop the oven approximately 10 minutes before the end of roasting time to use the residual heat.

Helpful hints and tips Always pre-heat the empty oven with the grill functions for 5 minutes. • Set the shelf in the shelf level as recommended in the grilling table. • Always set the pan to collect the fat into the first shelf level. • Grill only flat pieces of meat or fish. Care and cleaning Oven Ceiling You can fold down the heating element on the oven ceiling to clean the oven ceiling easily. WARNING! Before you fold down the heating element switch off the appliance. Oven lamp WARNING! There is a danger of electrical shock! Before you change the oven lamp: • Switch off the oven. • Remove the fuses in the fuse box or switch off the circuit breaker. Put a cloth on the bottom of the oven for protection of the oven light and glass cover.
