Control panel 7 Detergent dispenser drawer Compartment for detergent used for prewash . The prewash detergent is added at the beginning of the wash programme. First use 9 fabric, an animated bar, that indicates the carried out cycle and the remaining one, the duration of the washing program and the end of cycle. Delay start If you have selected the button 8 , the relevant symbol 9.5 appears on the display. After having pressed the button 7 , the selected delay time value (max 20 hours) appears on the right side of the display with the corrisponding symbol. The delay time value decreases every minute ( 9.8 ).
Personalization The CLOCK setting permits you to modify/set up the current time. It is important to keep it updated as the current END Cycle Time depends on it. To set the time press repeatedly the button 4 to select the settings menu ( SETTINGS ) and confirm your choice by pressing button 5 . With a single and short pressing of the button 4 , the hours can be adjusted. Press the button 5 to confirm it. Repeat the previous operation for setting the minutes.
Daily use 11 Press the button 5 to confirm your choice. DAILY USE The appliance is provided with a weight sensor that permits to measure the quantity of laundry loaded into the drum and advises you on the detergent quantity to use. Before switching the appliance on, make sure that the drum is empty. If you do not, the washing will subsequently not be registered properly by the weight sensor. See chapter «Weight sensor». Open the door Open the door by carefully pulling the door handle outwards.
Daily use If settings are not undertaken for several seconds during the programme setting process, the loading information appears on the display when the door is open. The weight and the detergent quantity displayed for each programme are indicative and permit to reduce the detergent consumption. The indicating weight screen won’t appear any more when the door is closed and after the button 7 has been pressed to start the washing programme. Load the laundry 1.
Daily use 13 2. If required, pour fabric softener into the compartment marked (the amount used must not exceed the MAX mark in the drawer). Close the drawer gently. Select the temperature (button 2) Press this button repeatedly to increase or decrease the temperature, if you want your laundry to be washed at a temperature different from the one proposed by the appliance. The maximum temperatures for each washing programme can be checked in the paragraph «Washing programmes». .
Daily use You must select the options after you have selected the programme but before pressing the button 7 . Press the button 4 to activate the option menu. To scroll all the available options, press the button 4 . The corresponding programme name appears in the relative rectangle to indicate that this programme can be selected. Press the button 4 to activate and confirm your choice. The corresponding symbol appears on the right side of the display to indicate that this option has been set.
Daily use 15 • • • • select the desired programme and required options press the button 4 to activate the options menu by pressing the button 4 , locate the saving memoy option and press button 5 by pressing the button 4 select the number of the memory ( MEMORY ) (1-2) in which you wish memorize your customized programme. • press the button 5 to save the selected programme. The display says that the programme has been saved.
Daily use Select the START/PAUSE (button 7) ( START/PAUSE ) Press this button, to start the selected programme. The corresponding red pilot light stops blinking. On the display will appear the name and the running phase of the selected programme to indicate that the appliance starts operating and the door is locked. To interrupt a programme which is running, press the button 7 : the corresponding red pilot light starts to flash, while the display says that the appliance is in pause.
• If the display says that the appliance is in pause, the door can be opened • If the display says alternately that the appliance is in pause and the door is locked, this means that the machine is already heating, that the water level is above the bottom edge of the door or that the drum is turning: in this case the door can not be opened • If you cannot open the door but you need to open it you have to switch the machine .

Full loading possible however with somewhat reduced cleaning results.
Care and cleaning 23 Red wine: soak in water and detergent, rinse and treat with acetic or citric acid, then rinse. Treat any residual marks with bleach. Ink: depending on the type of ink, moisten the fabric first with acetone1) , then with acetic acid; treat any residual marks on white fabrics with bleach and then rinse thoroughly. Tar stains: first treat with stain remover, methylated spirits or benzine, then rub with detergent paste.
Care and cleaning Descaling The water we use normally contains lime. It is a good idea to periodically use a water softening powder in the machine. Do this separately from any laundry washing, and according to the softening powder manufacturer's instructions. This will help to prevent the formation of lime deposits. After each wash Leave the door open for a while. This helps to prevent mould and stagnant smells forming inside the appliance.
Care and cleaning 25 Washing drum Rust deposits in the drum may occur due to rusting foreign bodies in the washing or tap water containing iron. Do not clean the drum with acidic descaling agents, scouring agents containing chlorine or iron or steel wool. 1. Remove any rust deposits on the drum with a cleaning agent for stainless steel. 2. Run a washing cycle without any washing to clean off any cleaning agent residues. Programme: Short Cotton Programme at maximum temperature and add approx.
Care and cleaning 6. Pull out the emergency emptying hose, place it in the container and remove its cap. 7. When no more water comes out, unscrew the pump cover by turning it anticlockwise and remove the filter. Use pliers, if necessary. Always keep a rag nearby to dry up any water spillages when removing the cover. Clean the filter under a tap, to remove any traces of fluff. Remove foreign bodies and fluff from the filter seat and from the pump impeller. 8. 9.
Care and cleaning 27 Never remove the pump cover during a wash cycle, always wait until the appliance has finished the cycle, and is empty. When refitting the pump cover, ensure it is securely retightened so as to stop leaks and young children being able to remove it. Cleaning the water inlet filters If the appliance doesn't fill, it takes a long time to fill with water, the starting button blinks yellow or the display (if available) shows the relevant alarm (see chapter "What to do if...

What to do if… 29 During machine operation it is possible that the yellow pilot light of button 7 blinks, one of the following messages appear on the display and at the same time some acoustic signals sound every 20 seconds to indicate that the machine is not working: • Problem with the water supply: « Cannot fill water. Please check that the tap is open and then press START/PAUSE ». • Problem with the water draining: « Cannot drain the water.

The filter in the inlet hose or the inlet valve filter are blocked. • Clean the water inlet filters.
What to do if… Problem 31 Possible cause/Solution There is water on the floor: Too much detergent or unsuitable detergent (creates too much foam) has been used. • Reduce the detergent quantity or use another one. Check whether there are any leaks from one of the inlet hose fittings. It is not always easy to see this as the water runs down the hose; check to see if it is damp. • Check the water inlet hose connection. The drain or the inlet hose is damaged. • Replace it with a new one.
Technical data Problem Possible cause/Solution Spinning starts late or the machine does not spin: The electronic unbalance detection device has cut in because the laundry is not evenly distributed in the drum. The laundry is redistributed by reverse rotation of the drum. This may happen several times before the unbalance disappears and normal spinning can resume. If, after some minutes, the laundry is still not evenly distributed in the drum, the machine will not spin.

Installation 1. After removing all the packaging, carefully lay machine on it’s back to remove the polystyrene base from the bottom. 2. Remove the power supply cable and the draining hose from the hose holders on the rear of the appliance. 3. Unscrew the three bolts with the key supplied with the machine.
Installation 4. Slide out the relevant plastic spacers. 5. Open the porthole, take out the inlet hose from the drum and remove the polystyrene block fitted on the door seal. 6. Fill the smaller upper hole and the two large ones with the corresponding plastic plug caps supplied in the bag containing the instruction booklet. 7. Connect the water inlet hose as described under the paragraph «Water inlet».
Installation Positioning and levelling Install the machine on a flat hard floor. Make sure that air circulation around the machine is not impeded by carpets, rugs etc. Before placing it on small tiles, apply a rubber coating. Never try to correct any unevenness in the floor by putting pieces of wood, cardboard or similar materials under the machine.
Installation 37 3. Set the hose correctly by loosening the ring nut. After positioning the inlet hose, be sure to tighten the ring nut again to prevent leaks. 4. Connect the hose to a tap with a 3/4” thread. Always use the hose supplied with the appliance. The inlet hose must not be lengthened. If it is too short and you do not wish to move the tap, you will have to purchase a new, longer hose specially designed for this type of use.
Electrical connection This could be done by tying it to the tap with a piece of string or attaching it to the wall. 2. In a sink drain pipe branch. This branch must be above the trap so that the bend is at least 60 cm above the ground. 3. Directly into a drain pipe at a height of not less than 60 cm and not more than 90 cm. The end of the drain hose must always be ventilated, i.e. the inside diameter of the drain pipe must be larger than the outside diameter of the drain hose.

Erste Inbetriebnahme 47 Programmablauf-Anzeige Nach dem Drücken der Taste 7 zeigt das Display die jeweils aktuelle Phase des Waschprogramms an 9.9 . Auf dem Display werden das Symbol der gewählten Wäscheart, eine animierte Leiste, die die ausgeführte und die verbleibende Waschphase sowie die Dauer des Waschprogramms und das Programmende eingeblendet. Zeitvorwahl Wenn Sie die Taste 8 gewählt haben, erscheint das entsprechende Symbol 9.5 im Display.
Persönliche Einstellungen Drücken Sie die Taste 5 zweimal zur Bestätigung Ihrer Auswahl. Einstellen der Uhrzeit Nach Auswahl der Sprache müssen Sie vor dem ersten Waschen die Uhrzeit einstellen. Bitte berichtigen Sie diese bei jeder Umstellung auf Sommer-/Winterzeit. Die UHR-Funktion gestattet die Änderung/Einstellung der aktuellen Uhrzeit. Die Uhrzeit muss immer aktualisiert werden, da von ihr das ENDE der laufenden Programmdauer abhängt.
Täglicher Gebrauch 49 Wenn Sie das akustische Signal einschalten möchten, drücken Sie die Taste 4 , um das Summer-Menü ( SIGNAL ) aufzurufen. Drücken Sie die Taste 5 zur Bestätigung Ihrer Auswahl. Die Linie um das entsprechende Symbol beginnt zu blinken, um damit anzuzeigen, dass die Einstellung ausgeführt werden kann. Täglicher Gebrauch 51 1. Ziehen Sie die Waschmittelschublade bis zum Anschlag heraus. Messen Sie die benötigte Waschmittelmenge ab und schütten Sie es in das Fach für den Hauptwaschgang ; wenn Sie ein Programm mit Vorwäsche wählen, schütten Sie das Waschmittel in das Fach mit der Markierung . Geben Sie für die Durchführung der Funktion Flecken Fleckentferner in das mit einem blauen Pfeil markierte Fach . 2.

Täglicher Gebrauch 53 SENSITIV Wenn Sie diese Option wählen, wird die Waschintensität reduziert. Das Gerät führt einen zusätzlichen Spülgang in den Programmen für Koch-/Buntwäsche und Pflegeleicht aus. Das entsprechende Symbol erscheint auf dem Display. Die Option kann nicht mit der Option Extraspülen gewählt werden. Diese Option wird für Buntwäsche und für Wäsche empfohlen, die häufig gewaschen wird. EXTRASPÜLEN Dieses Gerät ist so konstruiert, dass es nur wenig Wasser verbraucht.
Täglicher Gebrauch • drücken Sie die Taste 5 , um diese Option zu aktivieren. Das entsprechende Symbol erscheint im Display. Das Display weist Sie an, die Taste 4 und 5 gemeinsam für 5 Sekunden zu drücken, um das Gerät zu entriegeln. Wenn Sie nach dem Programmstart mit eingeschalteter KINDERSICHERUNG eine beliebige Taste drücken, erscheint die Meldung, dass das Gerät verriegelt ist und Sie zum Entriegeln eine Tastenkombination benutzen sollen.
Täglicher Gebrauch 55 • Drücken Sie die Taste 7 : das Gerät startet mit dem in 9.8 angezeigten Herunterzählen der Zeit. Das Programm beginnt, sobald die Zeitvorwahl abgelaufen ist. Sie können die Zeitvorwahl vor dem Drücken der Taste 7 jederzeit abbrechen. Löschen der Zeitvorwahl: • Stellen Sie das Gerät mit der Taste 7 auf Pause, • drücken Sie die Taste 8 , bis das Symbol im Display erlischt, • drücken Sie Taste 7 erneut, um das Programm fortzusetzen.
Am Programmende Das Gerät schaltet automatisch ab. Die Kontrolllampe von Taste 7 erlischt, erscheint permanent im Display, und das akustische Signal ertönt einige Minuten lang. Wurden die Optionen SPÜLSTOPP oder NACHTPROGRAMM ausgewählt, erlischt die Kontrolllampe der Taste 7 , das Display meldet, dass die Tür verriegelt ist und die Option SPÜLSTOPP gewählt wurde; die Tür bleibt verriegelt, um darauf hinzuweisen, dass das Wasser noch abgepumpt werden muss.
