Safety Please read this instruction book before using the appliance and retain for future reference. At the end of installation/adjusting, it is necessary to check if the door of the furniture closes properly. Should adjustment of the furniture door be necessary, use the clearance of slots. Low Room Temperature Switch When the room temperature is + 16° C or less, the Low Room Temperature Switch, located next to the thermostat control knob, must be switched on to maintain the correct temperatures inside the fridge and freezer compartA ments. Please note that in this setting the interior light will remain on, D710 even if the door is closed. No damage can be caused by leaving the switch in this position for any period of time (see page 15 Low ambient operation).
Fresh food refrigeration Positioning This appliance should only be installed at a location where the ambient temperature corresponds to the climate classification indicated on the rating plate, which is located on the inside left of the appliance. The following table shows which ambient temperature is correct for each climate classification.
You can use your freezer for freezing fresh food yourself. Important! • The temperature in the freezer compartment must be –18 °C or colder before freezing food. • Please observe the freezing capacity given on the rating plate. The freezing capacity is the maximum quantity of fresh food that can be frozen within a period of 24 hours. If you wish to freeze food several days in a row, please observe a maximum capacity of only 2/3 to 3/4 of that on the rating plate.

Defrosting 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 12 Refrigerator Frost is automatically removed from the evaporator of the refrigerator compartment every time the motor compressor stops, during normal use. The defrost water drains out through a trough into a special container at the back of the appliance, located over the motor compressor, where it evaporates. Freezer The freezer compartment, however, will become progressively covered with frost.
During a normal night time period of approximately 8 hours a traditional fridge freezer can normally maintain the frozen food temperature but if the appliance is left for longer period in a low ambient temperature the freezer will defrost . If, after carrying out the necessary checks there is still a fault with your appliance please contact your local AEG Service Force Centre.
3. Clean the appliance and the interior accessories with lukewarm water and with a little bicarbonate of soda added (5ml to 0,5 litre of water). Commercially available dish washing detergents may also be used. 4. Dry the appliance thoroughly. 5. Check the water drain hole on the rear wall of the fridge. Clear a blocked drain hole with the aid of the drain cleaning tool included with the appliance. 6. Symptom Switch on the appliance. Mains plug is not plugged in or is loose. Insert mains plug.
