9.1.1 Alarm / error messages
Alarm or Notice Possible cause Remark / Action
UPS On Bypass
(Notice #169)
UPS is operating
from bypass
The equipment
transferred to bypass
utility power.
Battery mode is not
available and your
equipment is not
protected; however,
the utility power
continues to be
passively filtered by
the UPS. Check for
one of the following
alarms: over
temperature,
overload, or UPS
failure.
UPS on Battery
(Notice #168)
Intermittent Alarm
A utility failure has
occurred and the UPS
is in Battery mode.
The UPS is powering
the equipment with
battery power. Prepare
your equipment for
shutdown.
The UPS does not
recognize the internal
batteries.
Battery Disconnected
(Alarm #199)
Continuous Alarm
The battery voltage is
lower than the
batteries disconnected
level that is defined
for this UPS. This
might be because of
a blown fuse,
intermittent battery
connection, or a
battery cable is
disconnected.
Make sure that all
batteries are correctly
connected. If the
condition persists,
contact your service
representative.
