ENGLISH 3 1. SAFETY INFORMATION Before the installation and use of the appliance, carefully read the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible if an incorrect installation and use causes injuries and damages. Always keep the instructions with the appliance for future reference. 1.1 Children and vulnerable people safety WARNING! Risk of suffocation, injury or permanent disability.
www.aeg.com • Never try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off the appliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a fire blanket. • Do not store items on the cooking surfaces. • Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the appliance. • Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the hob surface since they can get hot. • Be careful, when you touch the storage drawer. It can get hot.
ENGLISH • The bottom of the appliance can get hot. We recommend to install a noncombustile separation panel under the appliance to prevent access to the bottom. Electrical connection WARNING! Risk of fire and electrical shock. • All electrical connections should be made by a qualified electrician. • The appliance must be earthed. • Make sure that the electrical information on the rating plate agrees with the power supply. If not, contact an electrician.
www.aeg.com • Do not use the appliance as a work surface or as a storage surface. • Provide good ventilation in the room where the appliance is installed. • Use only stable cookware with the correct shape and diameter larger than the dimensions of the burners. • Make sure the flame does not go out when you quickly turn the knob from the maximum to the minimum position. • Make sure pots are centrally positioned on the rings and do not stick out over edges of the cooking surface.

ENGLISH 9 4. BEFORE FIRST USE WARNING! Refer to the Safety chapters. CAUTION! To open the oven door, always hold the handle in the centre. Press the + and - buttons at the same time until 0:00 flashes. Then press the + or - button to set the correct time of day. After approximately five seconds, the flashing stops and the display shows the time of day you set. 4.1 Initial Cleaning 4.3 Preheating • Remove all accessories and removable shelf supports (if applicable).
www.aeg.com WARNING! If the burner does not light after 10 seconds, release the control knob, turn it into off position and try to light the burner again after minimum 1 minute. Put the flame near the burner, turn the related knob to the maximum gas release position and push it down for 10 seconds.
ENGLISH WARNING! Deactivate the appliance and let it cool down before you clean it. Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply before you do cleaning or maintenance work. WARNING! For safety reasons, do not clean the appliance with steam cleaners or high-pressure cleaners. WARNING! Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads or acids. They can cause damage to the appliance. We recommend that you do not use the electric grill for cooking at the same time as the gas oven. Grill 1-8 Light To light up the oven interior without any cooking function. To use this function, press the oven lamp button. Defrost To defrost frozen food. To use this function, press the fan button.
ENGLISH 8.5 Using the electric grill WARNING! Always cook with the oven door closed. WARNING! We recommend that you do not use the electric grill for cooking at the same time as the gas oven. WARNING! Accessible parts may be hot when the grill is in use. Young children should be kept away. To deactivate this function, turn the knob to the off position. 13 cooking function is selected. It goes off when the oven reaches the correct temperature. It then cycles on and off to show the temperature adjusts. 8.
www.aeg.com Inserting the oven shelf and deep roasting pan together Put the oven shelf on the deep roasting pan. Push the deep roasting pan between the guide-bars of one of the oven levels. 9.2 Inserting the baking tray Put the tray in the centre of the oven cavity, between the front and rear wall. This ensures that the heat can circulate in front of and behind the baking tray. Make sure that the tray is positioned like in the picture, with the angled slope in the rear.
ENGLISH • If you use two baking trays at the same time, keep one level empty between them. 10.2 Cooking meat and fish • Do not cook meat with weight below 1 kg. Cooking too small quantities makes the meat too dry. • Use a dripping pan for very fatty food to prevent the oven from stains that can be permanent. • Leave the meat for approximately 15 minutes before carving so that the juice does not seep out. 15 • To prevent too much smoke in the oven during roasting, add some water into the dripping pan.

www.aeg.com To support this self-cleaning process heat the oven without any food regularly: 1. Open the oven door. 2. Remove all accessories from the oven. 3. Close the door. 4. Set an oven function. 5. Set the oven temperature to 250 °C and let the oven operate for 1 hour. 6. Clean the oven cavity with a soft and damp sponge. the cleaning easier remove the oven door. Lift the inner door. Clean inner side of the door. Clean the glass panel with water and soap. Dry it carefully. WARNING! Only clean the glass panel with water and a soap. Abrasive cleaning agents, stain removers and sharp objects (e.g. knives or scrapers) can cause damage to the glass.
ENGLISH 11.5 Oven lamp WARNING! Be careful when you change the oven lamp. Always switch off the appliance before you start to replace the lamp. There is a risk of electric shock. WARNING! Bulb lamps used in this appliance are special lamps for use only in household appliances. Do not use them to illuminate household rooms or parts of rooms. If you need to replace a lamp, the replacement lamp must have the same power and be for use only in household appliances.

ENGLISH • If you change from liquid gas to natural gas, undo the by-pass screw approximately 1/4 of a turn (1/2 of a turn for the Triple Crown burner). 25 WARNING! Remove the bottom plate of the oven cavity (A) to get access to the oven burner (B). 2. Release the screw (C) which keeps the burner in position. 3.
www.aeg.com 2. Adjust the by-pass adjustment screw (A) with a thin-bladed screwdriver. A 5. Turn the knob for the oven functions to the maximum position and let the oven heat for 10 minutes. 6. Turn the knob for the oven functions from the maximum to the minimum position. Control the flame. If the flame goes out, do the procedure from point 1 to point 6 again. There must be a small regular flame on the oven burner crown. The manufacturer declines liability if you do not obey these safety measures.
ENGLISH 110-115 mm 232- 237 mm 27 How to install the anti-tilt protection 1. Set the correct height and area for the appliance before you attach the anti-tilt protection. 2. Make sure that the surface behind the appliance is smooth. 3. Install the anti-tilt protection 232 237 mm down from the top surface of the appliance and 110 - 115 mm from the side of the appliance into the circular hole on a bracket. Screw it into the solid material or use applicable reinforcement (wall). 4.
