Troubleshooting
Consult the following table to troubleshoot errors prior to sending the device to customer service.
Errors Cause Solution
Network display light not on Lack of power supply
(AC adapter not supplied)
WARNING:
Turn off the device prior to troubleshooting.
Check if the mains plug is connected correctly. If neces
-
sary, test the outlet with another device for functionality.
No power supply/ main switch
turned off
Turn the device back on again with the main switch
(Fig. 1/15; 2/5).
No screen display TV operation:
Video cable incorrectly con
-
nected.
WARNING:
Turn of the device prior to troubleshooting.
Check the proper position of the video cable. Check if
the plug is plugged tightly into the out let.
No DVD/CD inserted Insert CD/DVD.
DVD/CD incompatible Use compatible media only.
DVD/CD placed upside down
into CD/DVD-compartment
Turn CD/DVD around.
CD/DVD is soiled Clean CD/DVD.
CD/DVD is damaged Use another CD/DVD.
Default settings incorrect Check the default settings of the DVD-Players.
Child safety is activated Deactivate child safety.
No reaction upon pressing Power supply issues or static
charge of the device.
Turn off the main switch and disconnect the device from
the power supply. Restore the power supply and switch
on the device again.
No sound TV operation:
Audio cable not connected
WARNING:
Turn off the device prior to troubleshooting.
Ensure correct connection of the audio cable. Check if
the plug is plugged tightly into the out let.
Volume set too low. Press (VOL+) to increase the volume (Fig. 1/4; Fig. 2/7;
Fig. 3/10).
Headphones plugged in
incorrectly
Check for correct fit of the headphone plug.
Default settings incorrect Check the default settings of the DVD-Player.
Remote does not function Incorrect position The remote control does not point toward the
DVD-Player.
Distance too far Ensure that the distance between remote control and
device does not exceed 5 meters.
Empty battery Change battery in the remote control.
Titles are played in wrong order Playlist is used Delete playlist.
DVD does not play DVD not finalized Use a finalized DVD.
