Problems
Baking/food turns out too dark or
unevenly baked.............................
Baking/food does not brown
sufficiently.....................................
The catalytic enamel cannot be
cleaned...........................................
The ceramic hob is stained............
Remedy
Wrong temperature. When cooking in
the fan oven, temperatures should be
reduced by 15-20% in comparison with
a conventional oven. Note that a
change of 5˚C can greatly affect the
result.
When the fan oven is in use, the result
will generally be more uneven than in a
conventional oven.
Temperature too low. The baking/food
is ready before it has browned. Use a
higher temperature.
Position in oven too low. The
baking/food has received too little top
heat. Move the baking/food up one
rail.
You have placed a light-coloured tin or
a china/glass dish on the grid.
Use a baking sheet when using light-
coloured tins or a china/glass dishes.
The pores in the enamel are plugged by
burnt-on fat. See section “Cleaning
and maintenance of” for how to remove
the burnt-on fat.
Carefully clean the hob as explained in
the section “Cleaning and maintenance
of”
