Ceramic hob
The ceramic hob has four cooking
zones. When a cooking zone is
switched on, its glow will turn on
and off at different intervals,
depending on the chosen heat
setting. Even at the highest setting
the cooking zone will switch off
from time to time, to prevent the
hob from overheating.
The ceramic material is tough and
hardened against heat, cold and
temperature shocks, but like all
glass-based materials, it is
sensitive
to impact. Do not stand on the
ceramic hob as it is unable to
withstand abnormal strains.
Cooking zones
The two rear cooking zones are
single zones. The two front
cooking zones are double zones.
CHEC control
Information on how to use CHEC
is given in the section “How to
use”. CHEC control is the name of
the electronic control system
governing the cooking zones.
CHEC control gives you accurate
heat adjustment, so you do not need
to turn the heat up or down. CHEC
provides the cooking zones with the
following functions:
Automatic cut-out of “forgotten”
cooking zones.
QUICKSTART on all heat settings.
Activation of the large zone on the
double cooking zones
Child safety mechanism for the
cooking zones.
Residual heat indicator
When you turn off a cooking zone,
an “H” will appear on the display to
indicate that the zone is still hot.
The residual heat indicator will stay
lit until the cooking zone reaches
around 80˚C.
Cooling fan
The cooker has a cooling fan to
keep the temperature down on
surfaces and electronics. When the
cooker is in use, the thermostat-
activated cooling fan switches on
whenever the temperature rises
above a certain point. The fan may
therefore continue to operate after
the cooker has been turned off.
