Before using this vacuum cleaner Check the voltage • Remove the fuse from the cut off plug. Before connecting the vacuum to an electrical supply, ensure that the voltage shown on the rating plate located beneath the vacuum is of the correct voltage for your electricity supply. If it is not, do not use the vacuum but refer back to your dealer. • The cut off plug should then be disposed of to prevent the hazard of shocks in case it should be plugged into a 13 amp socket in another part of your home.

How to clear a blockage Hose blockage • Pull handle to release hose (Fig. 1). • Grasp hose collar and twist to unlock. Remove hose from vacuum body (Fig. 2). Flexing the hose will loosen blockage. • Squeeze and pull cover off air path selector knob (Fig. 3). Remove hair and threads from brush roll periodically. Do not remove end caps. ! Check belt ZE090. Replace if worn, cut or out of shape. How to obtain service for your vacuum cleaner Should you require service on your Electrolux vacuum, please telephone Electrolux Customer Care HELPLINE 08445 614614. Before requesting service, please check whether your problem is covered under Service Checklist (see below). Electrolux will arrange the uplift of the product for repair should no local service agent be available. New filter pads, brush rolls and drive belts can be obtained from Electrolux Retailers.
Thermal cut-off This vacuum has a special thermostat that protects the vacuum in case of motor overheating. If the vacuum switches off, turn the switch to off position and unplug the vacuum. Check the vacuum for a possible source of overheating such as a full dustbin, a blocked hose or clogged filter. If these conditions are found, fix them and wait at least 30 minutes before attempting to use the vacuum. After the 30 minute period, plug the vacuum back in and press the power switch to turn on (I).
