First Use of the Device/Introduction
NOTE:
Thedeviceisoperatedprimarilywiththeremotecon-
trol. Thus the descriptions refer to the buttons on the
remote control. Some buttons are also on the device.
Buttons with the same name have the same function.
Thebuttonsonthedevicearetouchbuttons.Touchthe
keys lightly with a nger to perform the function.
Selectaproperplaceforthedevice.Adry,levelandslip
proof surface is suitable.
Makesurethedeviceisventedsufciently!
Removetheprotectivelmfromthedevice,ifpresent.
Power supply
Insertthegridplugintoaproperlyinstalledthreeprong
socket with 230 V, 50 Hz.
Makesurethegridvoltagecorrespondstothegureson
the rating plate.
NOTE:
Disconnect from mains power supply during longer periods
of non-use.
Insert/Replace Battery in Remote Control
Openthebatterycompartmentontheundersideofthe
remote.
InsertAAA/R031.5Vtypebatteries.Payattentiontothe
correct polarity (see bottom of battery compartment)!
Closethebatterycompartment.
If the remote is not in use for a lengthy period of time, please
remove the battery to prevent the battery acid from “leaking”.
WARNING:
Donotexposethebatteriestointenseheat,suchas
sunlight, re or similar. Danger of explosion!
Keepbatteriesoutofthereachofchildren.Theyare
not toys.
Donotforcebatteriesopen.
Avoidcontactwithmetallicobjects.(Rings,nails,screws
etc.) Danger of short circuits!
Shortcircuitsmayoverheatorevenignitebatteries.
This may lead to combustion.
Whentransportingthebatteries,covertheterminalsfor
your safety with an adhesive strip.
Ifabatteryleaks,donotrubtheuidintotheeyesor
the skin. If acid comes into contact with the eyes, rinse
with puried water and seek medical advice if symp-
toms persist.
CAUTION:
Differentbatterytypesornewandusedbatteriesmay
not be used together.
Batteriesmustnotbedisposedofinthegarbage.
Please bring used batteries to competent collection
centers or back to the dealer.
General Operation
Switch device on/off
Withthe
button (11), you can switch the unit between
standby and operating mode. In standby, the pilot lamp
(7 on the device) lights red.
Todisconnecttheunitcompletelyfromthemains,pull
the mains plug from the socket.
NOTE:
Keep the button (2) on the unit pressed to toggle the
unit between standby and operating mode.
Volume
By pressing the VOL+/VOL- buttons (6/3) you can adjust the
desired volume.
Infrared Remote Control
For wireless control within a distance of 5 m. If the distance
decreases you should change the batteries. For proper
operation mind a clear view between the remote control and
the sensor on the device.
Sound Settings
If necessary, change the EQ setting in your playback unit to
create the best sound.
MUTE (9)
For immediate muting of the volume. Press MUTE again to
cancel the function.
NOTE:
The activated setting is shown on the display by the
symbol.
Playing back music files
You have three options to play back your own music les with
the unit: hardwired, wireless via Bluetooth, or via the USB
port.
By cable
1. Connectthe3.5mmstereoRCAcabletoanexternal
audio source. If required, use a suitable adapter (not
included).
2. Insert the other end of the cable into the AUX-IN jack
(Back Side) on the unit.
3. Repeatedly press the MODE button (2/1) until AUX is
shown on the display.
4. Start the playback of your audio source. Listen to the
sound playback via the speaker. You can adjust the
volume using the VOL+/VOL- buttons (6/3).
