Operating Instructions Operating Instructions 1 Safety Electrical Safety • The appliance may only be connected by a registered specialist. • In the event of any faults or damage to the appliance: remove fuses or switch off. • It is not permissible to clean the appliance with a steam or high pressure cleaner for safety reasons! • Repairs to the appliance may only be carried out by specialists. Repairs carried out by inexperienced persons may cause injury or serious malfunctioning.
Operating Instructions To Avoid Damaging Your Appliance • Do not line your oven with aluminium foil and do not place a baking tray or dish on the oven floor, otherwise the oven enamel will be damaged by the resulting build up of heat. • Juice from fruit that drips from baking trays will leave marks that cannot be removed. For very moist cakes, use the universal baking tray. • Do not put any weight on the oven door when it is open. • Never pour water directly into the hot oven. The enamel may be damaged.
Operating Instructions 2 Disposal Disposing of the packaging material All materials used can be fully recycled. Plastics are marked as follows: • >PE< for polyethylene, as used for the outer wrapping and the bags inside. • >PS< for polystyrene foam, e.g., as used for the padding materials. They are completely free of CFCs. Disposal of old appliances 1 Warning: Before disposing of old appliances please make them inoperable so that they cannot be the source of danger.

Operating Instructions Oven Features Relates only to appliances with a metal front: Steam from the oven is fed out between the upper door edge and the control panel. Fan run-on The fan switches on automatically as soon as the oven is switched on. Once the oven has been switched off, the fan continues running to cool down the appliance and then switches itself off automatically.
Operating Instructions Oven Accessories Combination shelf For dishes, cake tins, items for roasting and grilling. Universal baking tray For moist cakes, juicy roasts or as a baking sheet or collecting vessel for fat. Grill pan with handle Support for the grill tray as a collecting vessel for fat. Grill tray Insert for the grill pan for grilling smaller amounts of grilled food.
Operating Instructions Before Using for the First Time Setting the Time 3 The oven will only operate when the time has been set. 1. The time function indicator D will flash after the appliance has been connected to the mains or following a power failure. 2. Using buttons + or - set the current time. Wait for approx. 5 seconds. The flashing will stop and the clock will show the set time. The appliance is ready for use.
Operating Instructions Initial Cleaning Before using the oven for the first time you should clean it thoroughly. 1 Caution: Do not use any caustic, abrasive cleaners! The surface could be damaged. 3 To clean metal fronts use commercially available cleaning agents. 1. Turn the oven function switch to oven lighting L. 2. Remove all accessories and the shelf support rails and wash them with warm water and washing up liquid. 3. Then wash out the oven with warm water and washing-up liquid and dry. 4.
Operating Instructions Operating the Oven Switching the Oven On and Off 1. Turn the “oven functions” switch to the required function. 2. Turn the “temperature selection” switch to the required temperature. The yellow oven power indicator is illuminated while the oven is in use. The red temperature pilot light comes on while the oven is heating up. 3. To switch off the oven turn the “oven functions” switch and the “temperature selection” switch to the off position.
Operating Instructions Oven Functions The oven has the following functions: L Oven lighting With this function you can illuminate the oven interior e.g. for cleaning. The heating element is not in use. S Baking For baking cakes on one level and for pastries that need more browning and a crispy base. These include such foods as pizza, quiche lorraine and cheese cake. Set oven temperatures 20-40 °C lower than when using the conventional function. Conventional is used and in addition the fan is switched on.
Operating Instructions Z Dual grill For grilling larger quantities of flat foods such as steaks, escalopes or fish, or for toasting. Top heat and the grill heating element are in use. F Grill For grilling flat foods placed on the middle of the shelf such as steaks, escalopes or fish, or for toasting. The grill heating element is in use. Ü Bottom heat For crisping and browning cakes with crispy bases. The bottom heating element is in use.
Operating Instructions Inserting the Shelf and Universal Baking Tray 3 Anti-tip device All slide-in units have a small bulge on the left and right. This bulge is an anti-tip device and must always point to the rear of the oven. Tray or universal baking tray: The anti-tip device must point towards the rear of the oven. ✘ Inserting shelf: Insert the shelf unit with both guide rails pointing upwards. The anti-tip device must point downwards and be positioned to the rear of the oven compartment.
Operating Instructions Attaching/Removing the Grill Pan Handle The handle is particularly useful for removing the grill pan and tray more easily from the hot oven. Attaching the handle Insert the handle at an angle from above into the recess in the side of the grill pan (1) lift it gently and then lower it (2) until you hear it click into place.
Operating Instructions Working with the Electronic Clock The electronic clock has the following functions: Countdown ] To set a countdown. A signal sounds after the time has elapsed. This function does not affect the functioning of the oven. Cook time < To set how long the oven is to be in use. End time > To set when the oven is to switch off again. Time D To set, change or check the time. (See also section “Before Using for the First Time”.
Operating Instructions 3 General information • Once a function has been selected the corresponding function indicator will flash for approx. 5 seconds. During this time the required times can be set using the + or - button. • After the required time has been set the function indicator will flash again for approx. 5 seconds. After this the function indicator will stay on. The set time will begin to count down. • The acoustic signal can be deactivated by pressing any button.
Operating Instructions Countdown ] 1. Press selection button Y repeatedly until the countdown function indicator ] flashes. 2. Using the + or - button set the required countdown ]. (Max. 2 hours and 30 minutes.) After approx. 5 seconds the display will show the remaining time. The countdown function indicator ] is illuminated. When the time has expired the function indicator will flash and an acoustic signal will sound for 2 minutes. 3. Press any button to switch off the acoustic signal.
Operating Instructions Cook time < 1. Press selection button Y repeatedly until the cook time function indicator < flashes. 2. Using buttons + or - set the required cooking time. After approx. 5 seconds the display will revert to the time. The cook time function indicator < is illuminated. When the time has expired the function indicator will flash, an acoustic signal will sound for 2 minutes and the oven will switch off. 3. Switch off the acoustic signal and the programme by pressing any button.
Operating Instructions End time > 1. Press selection button Y repeatedly until the end time function indicator > flashes. 2. Using buttons + or - set the time at which you want the oven to switch off. After approx. 5 seconds the display will revert to the time. The end time function indicator > is illuminated. When the time has elapsed the function indicator will flash, an acoustic signal will sound for 2 minutes and the oven will switch off. 3.
Operating Instructions Cook time < and End time > combined 3 Cook time < and end time > can be used together if the oven is to switch on and off automatically at a later time. 1. Using the cook time < function set the time required for the dish to cook. In this case 1 hour. 2. Using the end time > function set the time at which the dish is to be ready. In this case 14:05. The cook time < and end time > function indicators are illuminated and the time will appear in the display. In this case 12:05.
Operating Instructions Changing TIME 3 The time can only be changed if neither of the automatic functions (cook time < or end time >) have been set. 1. Press selection button Y repeatedly until the TIME function indicator flashes. 2. Using buttons + or - set the current time. After approx. 5 seconds the function indicator will stop flashing and the clock will show the set time. The appliance is ready for use.

The red temperature indicator light flashes. Operating Instructions Usage, Tables and Tips Baking Use the baking V, fan cooking U or conventional O oven function for baking. Cake tins • Cake tins made of dark metal and coated tins are suitable for conventional O. • Light tins are also suitable for baking V and fan cooking U. Shelf positions • Baking using baking V or conventional O should be carried out on one level.
Operating Instructions General information • Please note that the shelf positions are counted from bottom to top. • Always place cakes in cake tins in the middle of the shelf. You can also bake two cakes simultaneously using baking V or conventional O. In this case place the tins side by side on the shelf. The cooking time is then increased only slightly. • Always preheat the oven when using the conventional O oven function.

Operating Instructions Roasting For roasting, use the fan cooking U, rotitherm I or conventional O oven function. Roasting dishes • Any heat-resistant dish is suitable for roasting. • If the dish has plastic handles, ensure that the handles are heat-resistant. • Large roasts can be roasted directly on the universal sheet or on the shelf with the universal sheet underneath (e.g. turkey, goose, 3-4 chickens, 3-4 knuckles).
Operating Instructions Notes on the roasting tables Information is given in the table on suitable oven functions, temperature settings, cooking times and shelf positions for various types of meat. The cooking times are for guidance only. • We recommend roasting meat and fish in the oven from a weight of 1 kg. • In general the conventional O function is suitable for very lean meat, fish and game.

Operating Instructions Defrosting To defrost food, use the oven´s defrosting function A at 30°C. Defrosting dishes • Put the food on a plate and put the plate on the tray. • Use only parchment paper or film to cover the food. Do not use plates or dishes as they significantly increase the defrosting time. Shelf levels • For defrosting, insert the tray in the 2nd level from the bottom. Notes on the defrosting table The table below gives you a few reference points on the defrosting times.

Operating Instructions Cleaning and Care 1 Warning: For safety reasons cleaning the appliance with a steam jet cleaner or high-pressure water cleaner is not permissible! Exterior of the Appliance Wipe the front of the appliance with a soft cloth dipped in warm soapy water. • Do not use scourers, caustic cleaners or abrasive items. • Use commercially available cleaners for metal fronts. Oven Interior 1 3 Warning: The oven must be switched off and cold before cleaning.
Operating Instructions Cleaning with Pyroluxe 1 Warning! The oven becomes very hot during this procedure. Children must be kept well away. 1 Important: All slide-in parts must be removed from the oven before cleaning with pyroluxe. 3 If you use the oven shelf runners obtainable as special accessories, they must be removed before cleaning with pyroluxe. It is not possible to start the pyroluxe cleaning process because of a safety switch that protects the oven shelf runners. 1.
Operating Instructions Shelf Support Rails The shelf support rails on the left and right hand sides of the oven can be removed for cleaning the side walls. Removing the shelf support rails 1. Remove the screw. 2. Pull the rail away from the oven wall at the back and swivel towards the front (1). 3. Unhook and remove rail (2).
Operating Instructions Fitting the shelf support rails 1 Take care when fitting the rails that the rounded ends of the guide rails are pointing forwards! 1. To re-insert, first hook the rail into place at the front (1). 2. Swivel the rail towards the rear and push into place (2). 3. Replace the screw.
Operating Instructions Oven Lighting 1 Warning: There is a danger of electric shock! Prior to changing the oven light bulb: – Switch off the oven! – Remove the fuses in the fuse box or switch off the circuit breaker. 3 Place a cloth on the oven floor to protect the oven light and glass cover. Replacing the oven light bulb/cleaning the glass cover 1. Remove the glass cover by turning it anti-clockwise and then clean it. 2.
Operating Instructions Oven Door The oven door of your appliance may be removed for cleaning. Removing the oven door 1. Open the oven door completely. 2. Completely fold back the brasscoloured clamping lever on both door hinges. 3. Grip the oven door with both hands on the sides and close it to about 3/4 going past the point of resistance. 4. Pull the door away from the oven (Caution: heavy!). 5.
Operating Instructions Oven door glass The oven door is fitted with four sheets of glass set next to one another. The inner sheets can be removed for cleaning. 1 Caution: The following steps are to be performed only when the oven door has been removed. If the glass is removed while the door is attached, the leighter weight may cause it to spring up and cause injury. 1 Important! Rough handling of the glass, especially at the edges of the front plate, may cause it to break.
Operating Instructions Replacing the centre glass plates 1. From above, insert the centre plates obliquely into the retaining frame at the handle, one after another. 2. Lower the centre plates down and push them towards the lower edge of the door as far under the retaining frame as they will go. Replacing the upper glass plate 1. From above, insert the upper-most plate obliquely into the retaining frame at the handle.. 2. Lower the plate.
