ccess must be ensured in case the fans need to be replaced, and
the ventilation openings must also be accessible. The equipment
must always be installed in such a way that the supply air and ex-
haust air ducts can ensure sufficient cooling of the equipment, and
particularly of the INV control cabinet.
Refer to the technical data for additional criteria.
2.1.2 Access to Electrical Units
Only qualified electricians or skilled personnel with electrotechnical
training may access electrical units.
The lock may only be opened by the person responsible for the
equipment or by someone with authorisation to do so.

2 (IEC 60364-7-729) when installing
and accessing the equipment.
2.2 Safety and Protection Devices
In accordance with IEC 364, the equipment is fitted with safety and
protection devices which must be checked regularly to ensure that
they are working correctly. All safety and protection devices must
always be in perfect working order.
2.2.1 Disconnecting Protection Device
Additional isolating points should be installed on the DC and AC
sides of photovoltaic equipment in accordance with DIN EN 62109-
1 (VDE 0126-14) in order to isolate the power electronics from the
power supply both electrically and mechanically.

Always open the manual isolating switches on the DC and
AC sides before starting work on the equipment.
2.2.2 Sleeving and Protective Covers
Sleeving
The outdoor housing provides degree of protection IP 54 according
to DIN EN 60529 (IEC 529) against external influences such as
harmful quantities of dust and water sprayed from any direction.
Protective covers
All live parts of the equipment are covered with protective covers
made of steel sheet or transparent plastic to protect against acci-
dental touching according to EN ISO 12100-2.
