PBC
By means of the PBC (Playback Control) function the interactive
menus speci ed by the manufacturer on the DVDs or VCDs are started
automatically. If you turn the PBC option to „O “ the tracks are played
automatically in order from the DVD or VCD.
NOTE:
If the DVD or VCD is not PBC-compatible no selection menu is displa-
yed even if the „PBC“ function is switched on.
Audio; Subtitle; Disc Menu
Audio: Here you can select the preferred audio language.
Subtitle: Here you can select the preferred language for the  lm
subtitles.
Disc Menu: Here you can select the preferred language for the DVD
menus.
Parental
Some DVD contain information concerning the target group. This
method is comparable with the rating of cinema  lms („Suitable only for
persons of 12 years and over“ e.g.).
If you have the child lock option activated a probably existing cor-
responding information is read from the DVD and compared with the
value pre-set by you. If a DVD is intended for an older age group than
the one pre-set by you, the DVD cannot be played.
The following child lock options are available:
Kid Saf: Suitable for children.
G: Suitable for all age groups.
PG: The presence of parents is recommended. Some scenes may be
unsuitable for children.
PG 13: The presence of parents is strictly recommended. Some
scenes may be unsuitable for children under the age of 13.
PGR: The presence of parents is strictly necessary.
R: Young persons under the age of 17 may only view this  lm in the
presence of an adult.
NC17: Children and juveniles under the age of 17 are not allowed to
watch this  lm.
Adult: The  lm must only be watched by adults.
Password Setup
If you want to operate the DVD-Player with a child lock system, you
must  rst enter a password. This password safeguards the settings for
the child lock system, so that it can only be changed by yourself.
