ENGLISH 1. 3 SAFETY INFORMATION Before the installation and use of the appliance, carefully read the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible for any injuries or damages that are the result of incorrect installation or usage. Do not leave the appliance with the open door unattended to avoid stepping accidentally onto it. Before any maintenance operation, deactivate the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the socket. Do not use high pressure water sprays and/or steam to clean the appliance.

www.aeg.com How to deactivate the rinse aid empty notification During the drying phase, the door opens automatically and remains ajar. The appliance must be in programme selection mode. 1. To enter the user mode, press and hold simultaneously Delay and Option until the indicators , and start flashing and the display is blank. 2. ENGLISH Not all options are compatible with each other. If you have selected non compatible options, the appliance will automatically deactivate one or more of them. Only the indicators of the options still active will stay on. 7.1 XtraDry Activate this option to boost the drying performance. With XtraDry on, the duration of some programmes, water consumption and the last rinse temperature can be affected.
www.aeg.com B A M AX 4 4. Remove the salt around the opening of the salt container. 5. Turn the cap of the salt container clockwise to close the salt container. CAUTION! Water and salt can come out of the salt container when you fill it. After you fill the salt container, immediately start a programme to prevent corrosion. 8.2 How to fill the rinse aid dispenser A D 1 3 2 + - C D CAUTION! Only use rinse aid specifically designed for dishwashers. 1.
ENGLISH • If the rinse aid indicator is on, fill the rinse aid dispenser. 3. Load the baskets. 4. Add the detergent. 5. Set and start the correct programme for the type of load and the degree of soil. 9.1 Using the detergent 13 9.2 Setting and starting a programme The Auto Off function This function decreases energy consumption by deactivating automatically the appliance when it is not operating. The function comes into operation: • 5 minutes after the completion of the programme.
www.aeg.com Opening the door while the appliance operates Opening the door while a programme is running stops the appliance. It may affect the energy consumption and the programme duration. After closing the door, the appliance continues from the point of interruption. If the door is opened for more than 30 seconds during the drying phase, the running programme ends. It does not happen if the door is opened by AirDry function.
ENGLISH 10.2 Using salt, rinse aid and detergent • Only use salt, rinse aid and detergent for dishwasher. Other products can cause damage to the appliance. • In areas with hard and very hard water we recommend to use plain dishwasher detergent (powder, gel, tablets containing no additional agents), rinse aid and salt separately for optimal cleaning and drying results. • At least once a month run the appliance with the use of appliance cleaner which is particularly suitable for this purpose.
www.aeg.com 11. CARE AND CLEANING WARNING! Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the main socket. Dirty filters and clogged spray arms decrease the washing results. Make a check regularly and, if necessary, clean them. 4. Wash the filters. 11.1 Cleaning the filters The filter system is made of 3 parts. C B A 5. Make sure that there are no residues of food or soil in or around the edge of the sump. 6. Put back in place the flat filter (A).
ENGLISH 17 11.3 External cleaning • Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth. • Only use neutral detergents. • Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads or solvents. 11.4 Internal cleaning CAUTION! An incorrect position of the filters can cause bad washing results and damage to the appliance. 11.2 Cleaning the spray arms Do not remove the spray arms. If the holes in the spray arms are clogged, remove remaining parts of soil with a thin pointed object.
www.aeg.com Problem and alarm code Possible cause and solution The program does not start. • Make sure that the appliance door is closed. • Press Start. • If the delay start is set, cancel the setting or wait for the end of the countdown. • The appliance has started the procedure to recharge the resin inside the water softener. The duration of the procedure is approximately 5 minutes. The appliance does not fill with water. • Make sure that the water tap is open.
ENGLISH 19 Problem and alarm code Possible cause and solution The appliance trips the circuit-beaker. • The amperage is insufficient to supply simultaneously all the appliances in use. Check the socket amperage and the capacity of the meter or turn off one of the appliances in use. • Internal electrical fault of the appliance. Contact an Authorised Service Centre. Refer to "Before first use", "Daily use", or "Hints and tips" for other possible causes.
www.aeg.com Problem Possible cause and solution The dishes are wet. • For the best drying performance activate the option XtraDry and set AirDry . • The programme does not have a drying phase or has a drying phase with low temperature. • The rinse aid dispenser is empty. • The quality of the rinse aid can be the cause. • The quality of the multi-tablets can be the cause. Try a different brand or activate the rinse aid dispenser and use rinse aid and multi-tablets together.

Para entrar no modo de utilizador, prima continuamente Delay e Option em simultâneo até que os indicadores , e comecem a piscar e o visor fique em branco. 2. www.aeg.com 7. OPÇÕES É necessário activar sempre as opções que desejar antes de iniciar um programa. Não é possível activar ou desactivar opções durante o funcionamento de um programa. Algumas opções não são compatíveis com outras. Se tentar seleccionar opções incompatíveis, o aparelho desactiva automaticamente uma ou mais dessas opções. Apenas os indicadores das opções que ficarem activas continuarão acesos. 7.1 XtraDry Active esta opção para melhorar o desempenho da secagem.

Utilize apenas sal especial para máquinas de lavar loiça. 33 8.2 Como encher o distribuidor de abrilhantador A D B O sal é utilizado para recarregar a resina do amaciador da água e para garantir bons resultados de lavagem no quotidiano. Como encher o depósito de sal 1. Rode a tampa do depósito de sal no sentido anti-horário e retire-a. 2. Coloque 1 litro de água no depósito de sal (apenas na primeira vez). 3.
www.aeg.com 9. UTILIZAÇÃO DIÁRIA 1. Abra a torneira da água. 2. Prima o botão On/Off (ligar/desligar) para activar o aparelho. Certifique-se de que o aparelho está no modo de selecção de programa. • Se o indicador de falta de sal estiver aceso, encha o depósito de sal. • Se o indicador de falta de abrilhantador estiver aceso, encha o distribuidor de abrilhantador. 3. Coloque a loiça nos cestos. 4. Adicione o detergente. 5. Seleccione e inicie o programa correcto para o tipo de carga e grau de sujidade.

Prima Start para iniciar a contagem decrescente. • O indicador de início diferido acende para confirmar o início da contagem decrescente. • A contagem decrescente diminui em intervalos de 1 hora. Na última hora, diminui com intervalos de 1 minuto. Quando a contagem decrescente terminar, o programa inicia e o indicador da fase em curso acende-se. O indicador de início diferido apaga-se.
www.aeg.com • Utilize sempre todo o espaço dos cestos. • Quando carregar o aparelho, certifique-se de que a água libertada pelos braços aspersores consegue alcançar e lavar toda a loiça. Não coloque peças em contacto com outras ou por cima de outras. • Pode utilizar detergente, abrilhantador e sal para máquina de lavar loiça ou utilizar pastilhas combinadas (“3 em 1”, “4 em 1”, “Tudo em 1”, etc.). Siga as instruções indicadas na embalagem.
PORTUGUÊS 10.5 Antes de iniciar um programa Certifique-se de que: • Os filtros estão limpos e bem instalados. • A tampa do depósito de sal está bem apertada. • Os braços aspersores não estão obstruídos. • Existe abrilhantador e sal para máquinas de lavar loiça (excepto se utilizar pastilhas de detergente combinadas). • A loiça está colocada correctamente nos cestos. • O programa é adequado ao tipo de carga e ao grau de sujidade. • Foi utilizada a quantidade de detergente correcta. 10.
www.aeg.com CUIDADO! Uma posição incorrecta dos filtros pode causar resultados de lavagem insatisfatórios e danos no aparelho. 11.2 Limpar os braços aspersores Não retire os braços aspersores. Se os orifícios dos braços aspersores ficarem obstruídos, retire a sujidade com um objecto fino e afiado. 5. Certifique-se de que não há resíduos de alimentos ou sujidade dentro e à volta da borda do colector. 6. Reinstale o filtro plano (A).

RESOLUÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS Se o aparelho parar durante o funcionamento ou não iniciar, tente resolver o problema com a ajuda da informação da tabela antes de contactar um Centro de Assistência Técnica Autorizado.
