Conquer new terrain
RALEIGH 29ER COMP MTB
The Raleigh 29er Comp mountain bike comes with a stiff lightweight aluminium
frame and 24-speed Shimano Altus gears.This bike is fi tted with hydraulic disc
brakes on the front and rear wheels that offer incredible braking power on the
larger wheel under any extreme conditions. The rims are double-walled aluminium
for incredible strength, with 2,125 tyres. This bike comes in two options, namely
front suspension as well as front and rear suspension.
The advantages of a 29er over a 26” bike are:
Greater wheel contact on road gives better traction
which also transfers more power to the ground;
Larger wheel handles rocks, roots and rough terrain with ease;
Larger wheel rolls better and is faster on long marathon rides.
Larger wheels carry momentum better than smaller wheels which
allow you to travel at a faster pace through tricky, technical areas
on the trail.
Available at Makro from R4 699 to R4 999, depending on model and size.
