NOTE:
Depending on the software version of your iPhone the fol-
lowing error message may be displayed:
“This accessory was not developed for iPhone use. It is
possible that noise occurs and signal strength is reduced.”
In this case press “OK”.
General Operation
NOTE:
Some buttons you can find as well on the device as on the
remote control. Identical buttons effect the same function.
Switch device on/off
• Toturnthedeviceon,setthemainswitchPOWERonthe
back of the device to “ON”
• Pressthe /SELE button (8/21) to toggle the device
between standby and operating mode (keep pressed for
around 2 seconds on the box controls). In standby mode
the standby indicator (1) turns on.
• Toturnthedeviceoff,setthemainswitchPOWERonthe
back of the device to “OFF”.
NOTE:
The last saved settings (treble, bass, volume) will be lost
when the unit is switched off.
Volume
By pressing the VOL+/VOL- buttons (5/9/13) you can adjust
the desired volume.
Infrared Remote Control
For wireless control within a distance of 5 m. If the distance
decreases you should change the batteries. For proper
operation mind a clear view between the remote control and
the sensor on the device.
Sound Settings (on RC)
• PresstheTREB+/TREB-buttons(8/15)tosetthetreble
value.
• PresstheSUB+/SUB-buttons(10/12)tosetthebass
value.
Sound setting (on the box controls)
• Brieypressthe /SELE button (8) to select the bass.
• Brieypressthe /SELE button (8) again to select the
treble.
• AdjustmentscanbemadeusingtheVOL+/VOLbuttons
(5/9/13).
NOTE: During iPod/iPhone/iPad Music Playback
For optimum sound, change the EQ setting on your iPod/
iPhone/iPad as required.
(1 on RC)
For immediate muting of the volume. The Volume display
ashes.Press again to cancel the function.
Radio Tuning
• Pressthe /SELE button (8/21) to switch the device on.
• PresstheFMbutton(2onRC).
• TunetheprogrambypressingtheSEARCH+
/
SEARCH- buttons (5).
• Ifthereceptionistooweakandthereisinterferenceon
the channel, try to improve the reception by changing the
position of the aerial and /or coil/uncoil it.
NOTE:
Press the ST/MO button to toggle to mono if the recep-
tion is noisy.
Save Radio Station
1. Press the MEM button (19) to save the station to the
presets.Apresetashesonthedisplay(e.g.P01).
2. Press the STATION+/STATION- buttons (4) to select a
station preset between P01 and P20.
3. BrieypresstheMEMbuttontosavetheradiostation.
Recall Saved Radio Stations
Press the STATION+/STATION- buttons (4) to access the sta-
tion presets.
Music Playback from iPod/iPhone/iPad
(iPod/iPhone/iPad not supplied)
CAUTION:
Before plugging in the iPod/iPhone/iPad, make sure that
the radio is not in iPod/iPhone mode.
1. Insert your iPod/iPhone/iPad into the dock.
CAUTION:
Make sure that your iPod/iPhone/iPad is plugged up-
right into the port. Do not bend or tilt the iPod/iPhone/
iPad whilst it is plugged into the port. This may cause
damage to the dock or the iPod/iPhone/iPad.
2. Press the /SELE button (8/21) to switch the device on.
If iPod mode is not automatically selected: Repeatedly
press the MODE button (4 on device) until “iPod” is
displayed.
Please be aware that playback can only start if the battery
on the unit connected to the socket has been charged to
a minimum level.
